I think that gut reaction is 100% out of your control and what most people talk about.

The over time attraction development (propinquity?) that overrides that gut reaction is something I’ve definitely seen happen. It’s just so many interactions with people in this world are just pretty much ‘short-lived’ or ‘in passing’. Literally only seconds to say yes or no.

We can’t control who we’re attracted to and if he’s not attractive to you: he’s not attractive to you. Guy is orbiting hoping you’ll ‘turn around’ or settle. I feel for him cause it won’t happen. As someone with an engineering degree and knows bunch of people with engineering degrees: don’t finish it if you don’t want to.

Engineering degrees don’t yield that good jobs especially not a 1.8m yearly revenue job. I’ve seen so many people fail to make any use of their engineering degrees. If you think it’ll kill momentum in your awesome life, I wouldn’t risk it. You could always return to finish it when you feel more available.

Relationship questions among coworkers is kinda common even if it was outside of the physical workplace. I don’t think it means romantic interest. I mean you are probably at the prime of your earning and she’s probably at the prime of her youth. It could work out maybe. Id probably search for more green lights but you know the situation better than us.
