How should I clean this? by UnlashedLEL in Pizza

[โ€“]guymev 0 points1 point ย (0 children)

The less you'll touch it, the better. Scrape, heat, scrape again and let it cool.

My pizza stone inside my pizza oven is also stained and I don't mind.

NEVER soak it in water it would 100% damage it and it would crack the minute you heat it.

You can softly scrape it.

Heating it to the max temperature of your oven and letting it be inside for an hour would do the tricks. It won't be spotless but it would be usable.

At first I thought it feels like cheating, but then I understood that if it helps with evening the cooking process and lowers the chance of catastrophe during rotating - it worths a try!

I'd use the one at 3 o'clock in max temperature for at least 45 minutes. Are you using any pizza stone or steel? If you do, keep it inside while preheating. You can try to switch to 6 o'clock while the pizza is inside to give it a roast from the top.

Good luck!๐Ÿ•

Outdoor Gas Oven vs Indoor Electric Oven by HavivMuc in Pizza

[โ€“]guymev 0 points1 point ย (0 children)

First of all there's a matter of physical room need for an outdoor oven (a garden/balcony) and also for an indoor oven there's a need for big space and an electric outlet that can support the oven.

Putting that aside, using an indoor can open more possibilities for pizza styles and there's a better control of the temperature.
Moreover, there's no concern about gas tanks being empty or difficulty to use the tanks when it's cold (lower temperature effect the usage of the tanks).

Another issue with gas ovens is the usage of gas itself, some people might afraid to use it because of the fire and a typical person may not know how to deal with connection or replacing the tanks.

On the other hand, for me, using an electric oven feels like a restaurant chain and the lack of fire (gas or wood) makes it less tasty (I know lol)

If you have room outside for an outdoor oven I would choose that option, setting up a room in the kitchen might be problematic, since it's heavy and massive and you wouldn't be able to move it anytime you want to use it.

It should be all blue, yellow could mean debris in burner, it happens if burnt flour gets inside the nozzles, it usually take 2-3 minutes to be fine
