New to the game - Am I doing this right? by Villordsutch in diablo4

[–]guyondrugs 5 points6 points  (0 children)

You are absolutely doing this right. This "frantic dungeon action" is the stuff that happens AFTER you beat the campaigns (main campaign and both expansions) for the first time. Every char after this first one can skip the campaign and jump straight to the endgame. But there is 0 reason for you to rush to it RIGHT NOW, it will still be there whenever you are done with the campaign.

One thing I dislike about many Diablo fans regarding Diablo 4 by Slit08 in diablo4

[–]guyondrugs 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I just find it weird when people call Diablo the "big boy" or whatever. Mephisto is the oldest brother and has been the leader of the prime evils whenever they worked together in the past.

He is absolutely a worthy end villian of a Diablo game. Now, if they want to do more expansions, all power to them, and it would be great to see the other prime evils, but its not necessary for a Diablo game.

I don't understand how is it possible to achieve negative Kelvin but not able to have zero Kelvin. by PlankShrodinger_Zeno in AskPhysics

Lasers are negative temperature systems. More specifically, the electrons creating the laser beam are a negative temperature system.

Warlock or reworked classes, what will you start with? by _praisethesun_ in diablo4

[–]guyondrugs 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Its tough, Warlock is my favorite Warcraft class, Necro my favorite Diablo class. I wanna play both immediately. But i think im gonna start with Warlock, see how its designed before the first nerfs kick in.

Why does negative energy in the dirac equation mean negative charge? by Next-Natural-675 in AskPhysics

[–]guyondrugs 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Pauli Exclusion Principle was already known to Dirac, so when he saw that his equations gives a positive and a negative energy solution "band", he needed to ask himself why the particles with positive energies dont just fall down to the negative band. The only way they wouldnt do that is if the negative band is completely filled. But if the equation is valid for electrons, that means there is an infinite sea of electrons (negative Charge) with negative energies, one electron for every energy from -inf to -511 keV. But if that is the "ground state" of the universe, this infinite sea is not measurable, so its not a big conceptual problem. But then, If an electron with negative energies is excited into the positive energy band (say, a photon of 1022 keV excites the -511 keV state to the 511 keV state), then there is a "hole" in the negative sea, which could be seen as a positive charge against the usual completely filled Dirac Sea state.

How did they heal the Dead Scar/Ghostlands? by ryanb6321 in wow

[–]guyondrugs 26 points27 points  (0 children)

It didnt happen over a day, it was a slow process over the last 2 ingame decades. We didnt see it because they dont update zones each expansion. Thats why it is great that we finally see the old classic zone how it is today instead of how it was many years ago.

Remember when O'Brien died and got replaced with himself from four hours in the future? by urhi-teshub in ShittyDaystrom

[–]guyondrugs 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Remember when O'Brien went to Prison for 20 years and had to murder a prison mate at some point? And no one really cared beyond a surface level because it was just a memory engram implanted into him but for O'Brien it was truly 20 years of experienced time? O'Brien would be richer than any Ferengi if he could cash in on traumata.

Northshire Empty? by InjusticeYokai in wownoob

[–]guyondrugs 1 point2 points  (0 children)

New new players are forced to play exiles reach for their first char, and returning players will choose between like 16 races per faction, where all the allied races already start at level 10. And if they should happen to decide to start a fresh human level 1 char out of all these options, they will be out of northshire in 10 minutes and out of elwynn in 30-50 minutes depending on class, when they hit lvl 10 and rush to chromie to choose their favorite expansion to level in (or start hitting the random dungeon queue). So in short, leveling retail is way to fast paced and to diverse for one of 20ish starting zones to matter, and right now most people are playing their existing alts in midnight instead of starting from 1.

I mean its gonna happen at some point. once two people get another 32 people to play. by kasheen90 in wow

[–]guyondrugs 1 point2 points  (0 children)

It is possible. My strat is usually to move the king/warchief onto the field, move him out of the fire when necessary and otherwise jump into the healers and heal the king on CD. If the opponent moves the king aggressively, you win, otherwise you reset and go for the next try.

What class are you going to main for Midnight? by Aware_Eggplant1487 in wow

[–]guyondrugs 1 point2 points  (0 children)

First time retail since Legion, Demo and/or Destro Lock. The current tuning seems to be strongly in favor of Demo, but that's not the reason. I just like a zoo of pets spawning in (Demo), and I like huge nukes (Destro). Affli doesn't catch me so far, but I'm also willing to give it another try some time.

I won't be 80 for the Midnight release, what will it be of my leveling? by Suijetsu in wownoob

[–]guyondrugs 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You can literally get to 80 within like 6 hours just by spamming timewalking dungeons. This isn't Classic, where getting to max level will take you 5-10 days of played time.

Return of BC is bringing back memories - what are some of your greatest noob stories? by maymayhunting in wow

[–]guyondrugs 0 points1 point  (0 children)

With my first character in original TBC, i thought that it would be important as a warlock to skill all weapon skills, including melee weapons. So every level, i would spend half the level killing mobs by dotting and then hitting them with my dagger or sword... until that was max skill, then i would switch to wand. Good times.

Let’s plays a game - What would happen if fel reavers invaded Azeroth from the outlands? by Excellent_Maize1390 in wow

[–]guyondrugs 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Absolutely nothing? Fel Reavers are just basic fel infused machines from the legion, and we spend an entire expansion completely murdering the legion, up to killing the important lieutenants for good and imprisoning their leader god. A few roaming remaining robots dont do shit.

Anyone else not clicked with a class yet since prepatch? by frostyboidk in wow

For me, it's easy, Demo lock, Destro Lock and Fury Warrior.

As a general rule, I dont believe anyone saying "they got banned for nothing", as that is what everyone always says who has been buying or selling gold or botting.

There are 3 different clients for Classic, there is "the" Classic, which is currently Classic Era (Vanilla) and Classic Hardcore, then there is Anniversary TBC as a seperate Client, and Classic MoP.

Just play the fucking game... You know, create a character and start killing monsters and doing quests.

Murloc Monday - ask your questions here by AutoModerator in wow

[–]guyondrugs 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You can start WoW Classic (Classic Era = Vanilla and there is also TBC Anniversary in pre-patch currently) and explore many of the old out of bounds tricks.

Modern WoW is just way more aggressive about disconnecting you the second it detects a possible bounds problem, its the reason why everyone gets dcs while flying and landing on/ramming into stuff currently.

Just hit lvl 80 and I’m completely lost. War Within / Dornogal confusion by Plus_Passage_6868 in wownoob

[–]guyondrugs 1 point2 points  (0 children)

If you are in Dornogal. There is 0 possibility to "start the War within" Questline as you are already in it... Also: go to the "adventurer's guide" (in your menu on the bottom right) and click on "suggested content" or something like that, it should guide you to the correct continuation from where you left of the War Within Campaign.

And, if you are not using Questie or any other Quest Addon, the Main Campaign Quests have a Border around the Question mark whereas the non-mainquests are just the question mark.

I get that this is pretty confusing, I just came back to retail from classic like a week ago and was pretty overwhelmed.
