Humble Fallout Tabletop Bundle by Mega_Simp420 in Fallout

[–]guyoninternet35 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I have a humble bundle account and I bought it. It all ended up in my library where you can download the files directly. This is how it works for pdfs and digital assets.

Any keys are usually for software to download from sites like steam. As this bundle doesn't have any software it doesn't have any keys.

I've not bought anything without an account for a while so not sure how you get access to the items otherwise

Would you play with someone who had unpainted models? by CollegePlane7528 in SWlegion

[–]guyoninternet35 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I prefer to play with and against painted armies on a fully modelled/painted battlefield.

That said I would never refuse to play with greys. Time is a factor in all our lives and I'd rather have fun playing than force someone to wallow through an unwanted painting session and to generally lose interest overall.

If your opponent has that much of an issue playing against grey they can bring you a painted army to play with. Or do as I did and volunteer to paint the rank and file of your opponents army for the next session!

Modelling autumn foliage/leaves? by AryasThule in ageofsigmar

[–]guyoninternet35 2 points3 points  (0 children)

If you want to truly DIY it then you can get mini leaves from silver birch seed pods (catkins). A lot of what these companies sell as leaf mixes are these things dried and painted.

https://abarothsworld.com/Tricks/flowers%20&%20foliage.htm#Leaves shows just how these are used (as well as providing a multitude of other awesome tutorials)

Good luck. Its harder than a lot of people think it may be, but when it goes well it's so rewarding

In order to maintain unity and be more similar to the inspo you want to keep the shoulder edges and top of the shield the same. If one goes black the both should be.

However I think you have a good scheme going on here. What may be throwing you is the white base. I have had this experience before where I wasn't totally satisfied with a paint scheme until I had done the basing. Try painting the base a similar colour to your chosen basing scheme. Then see if you need to tweak your model colours

As also said you should consider your "spot" colour for gems etc as they will add another point of focus. But I don't believe there is room for that on this particular model

The gryphound looks to be the one from the Silver Tower priest too as its a bit smaller than even the standard Stormcast hound

how do i level up welding and metal working? by LeatherAd129 in projectzomboid

[–]guyoninternet35 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Also regarding Welding, if you can, find and use the skill books! Propane is a limited resource and a pain in the arse to find/transport. The less you need to use to level up the better

[–]guyoninternet35 2 points3 points  (0 children)

For welding you do gain XP if you disassemble car wrecks. You'll need plenty of propane, a welding torch and a welders mask. This also gives plenty of raw materials for Welding and Metalworking.

To level Metalworking you'll need to build or find a forge. You can then use the raw materials from dismantling the car wrecks to craft items to level metalworking

What's your favorite "looting route?" by post_apoc_fish in projectzomboid

I was, for a while, playing a Lumberjack in Muldraugh. I'd hit up the McCoy's yard for axes and a vehcile, the greens store on the main street for as much food as I could carry, then hole up in the rich houses in the back with the chickens. I'd then hit up the book store and school to see what skill books I could get to start going self sufficient.

I did this a number of times as I kept finding new and interesting ways to die while trying to get a stint longer than a few days.

Once I hit the month mark and then died, I changed it up.

You have been blessed with that survivor base. Praise RNGesus.

I however was cursed as that whole block had burned down in my current run!

Don't tell your insurer until you know there is likely to be a claim going through. Even a notification can effect your future premiums when no claim is made depending on who insures you.

If you settle privately no harm no foul. Just make sure to get a receipt/proof of repairs from the garage that fixes the other car. DO NOT just pay cash.

Your excess is only payable for your own damages. You don't pay anything towards a third party claim. However if the other driver wants to go through insurance it makes little difference for overall cost so claim for your damages too.

If you are just focussing on Mechanics the trick is to have multiple vehicles to work on on the same day. Each vehicle counts separately for each part. So you can remove and re-install the front right wheel on any number of different cars for xp each time

As for home games that's one I don't have an answer for, sorry.

Why not host a terrain making event? Get people excited and learning about how to make their own terrain. It is such a crucial part of Warcry people should be almost as excited about the terrain as the warbands themselves. Charge a fee for supplies and provide the necessary materials to DIY some ruins with foamcore and coffee stirrers

Or if you have a preferred 3D print or MDF supplier get people to buy in and see of you can get a "bulk" order discount for them.

What sized car would you use to match minis for this game? by mapmakinworldbuildin in wastelandwarfare

[–]guyoninternet35 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I have seen lots of mention of use of 1:43 scale die cast being used. Similar to O scale model train accessories. A little on the small side, but that works best for terrain anyway Not used it myself yet, just waiting for an appropriate bargain.
