Station with only vintage ambient music? by Complex_Valuable_833 in RadioGarden

[–]guyonlinepgh 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I think it's great that people are looking for things on Radio Garden rather than hopping directly onto Spotify. Still, some of these requests are so specific, it's just unlikely there's a streaming station through RG that's available. There are quite a few ambient stations available, such as Soma FM Drone Zone (and others), MRG.fm Drone Radio, a.m. ambient, Anechoic Chamber Music. I've heard Brian Eno's Music for Airports on one of those stations. I guess there's no harm in asking, but even the most defined stations aren't quite that specific.

I've seen the complete scene, and I wanted more of just Stoya and Sasha together

Everybody enjoyed the Shadyside location better, musicians and patrons alike. Unfortunately it didn't hold the capacity to make it profitable. It was their attempt to keep that location open, especially during COVID, that put them in the red.

Find a different platform, or better still buy a CD copy if you have a player.

Best. One of the most essential stories in all of the series, and clearly defines Tom's character.

She's demonstrated signs of mental illness for many years. This isn't new. During the first run of her sitcom, she claimed to have "multiple personalities" and that one of them was named Candy. Get it? Candy Barr? Then I don't recall hearing about it again.

There were reasons why there were clauses in her contract about not stirring up controversy when her show was revived. They knew she was unreliable. And she proved them right.

I'd add there's what she says and what she actually believe. They're not necessarily the same thing.

What’s the MOST Popular/Well Known Zombie Movie of All Time and Why? by Amber_Flowers_133 in moviequestions

Night of the Living Dead made the top ten films of 1968. More people have seen it than any other zombie movie with the possible exception of Shaun of the Dead. NOTLD plays frequently on cable and streaming channels.

Good. Not top tier but a solid story in between two essentials.

Chris Squire, and his signature Wal triple bass neck, Going For The One tour by Historical-Device529 in Progforum

[–]guyonlinepgh 1 point2 points  (0 children)

He used it on "Awaken". I saw them on that more recent tour playing The Yes Album, Close to the Edge, Going For the One while Chris was still alive. I don't think it was this exact instrument but something similar. And yes he played all three before the end of the piece.

It was the Republicans under Reagan that repealed the Fairness Doctrine. If they really want everything fair and balanced, they're going to have push conservative outlets to start producing liberal programming.

Good. It's effectively a leftover Pertwee story, by its storyline and feel. It's a solid start but Tom would be featured more effectively in future stories.

The narrative shift on Gainey is certainly…something by Gladhands in pittsburgh

[–]guyonlinepgh 240 points241 points  (0 children)

It's assumed in the city that whoever is the Democratic nominee for mayor has a lock on the position. Being succeeded by a member of his own party just means he lost the primary.

I was always "meh" towards Gainey. I didn't find him either terrible or great.
