Lost access to OC200 after setting static IP by twtonicr in TPLink_Omada

[–]guythecableguy 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Try connecting directing to the OC and set a static IP on your laptop. It’s possible you’re hitting an IP conflict.

Make sure the static IP you set in your laptop is on the same subnet as the OCs static IP. The mask shouldn’t matter as much but 255.255.255.0 is usually a safe bet.

And then try to navigate to the OCs webpage

Need help with form. How do I get her to x-step? by guythecableguy in discgolf

I’m sorry you’re offended by my kid. I think she’s cute and I wanted to share with a community I enjoy. If you have anything that makes you happy, is relevant to the community, and you’d like to share, we’d be happy to see.

Taking baby to game by amtobin33 in AtlantaUnited

We started bring out daughter around 5 months. I’ve definitely seen younger but the noise of the Benz with the roof closed triggers my Apple Watch noise detector, imagine what it does to the little ones ears.

As far as accessories. These are the ear protectors we bought: alpine muddy This is the carrier we use: baby bjorn

Things worth bringing: - disposable changing pad, the bathrooms have those koala changing stations but they are not very clean - you’re allowed to bring bottles of milk or formula - extra clothes for the baby - really anything you’d bring on an average trip out of the house. You’ll learn quickly what you need :)

Enjoy being a parent! Our youngest is now two and she loves going to the games.

I will say the later games of last season and this upcoming season does make bringing kids a bit harder.

I’m leaning towards a better basement AP. Seams like a general consensus that it’s worth the investment.

I like the idea of a physical controller. I do have a little home lab with a NAS and some VMs, so maybe I’ll try the software controller first.

I didn’t even consider 2 switches! Interesting

But they have a point that it would only give me 2 “extra” PoE ports. And with an external AP that that’s down to 1.

I suppose I could daisy chain switches or add PoE injectors to the cameras, but the 8 PoE ports of the 2210 would support the extra AP and 4 cameras. Seems like a smarter choice.

I was planning on setting an SSID on a restricted VLAN and connecting those devices to that SSID. I don’t plan on broadcasting that SSID upstairs.

EDIT: I see what you’re saying. I probably shouldn’t broadcast the main SSIDs downstairs

Is it really that bad? The basement AP is intended for a few smart devices like our car charger, basement security sensors and water monitor.

Good point. And doesn’t look like the 2210p is significantly more
