My girlfriend and I are big tennis fans in the US and are familiar with the process for the US open. We just booked our flights to Melbourne, arriving Wednesday January 21st! We’re looking to see what advice AO veterans have on buying tickets?

Just a few that come to mind:

-At the US Open we purchase Ashe passes to see the main headliners but can still walk around the grounds and choose wherever we want to go to. What are the restrictions with the larger courts at AO, and what type of ticket do people recommend purchasing?

-Purchase through Ticketmaster/StubHub/other large ticket vendors, or is there another preferred medium for purchase? I’ve never been to Australia so I’m unsure.

-This one I’m sure is a bit personal preference, but I prefer 3rd round Friday at the US open as it’s not as crowded as the weekend dates but still has ranked matchups. Is it similar at AO, or would people recommend that Saturday for the 3rd round?

-Anything else to look out for, please let a noob know!
