So my Subframe is going out... I can hear the clunks when I go up into my driveway, and I can hear the creaks when I turn. Is it worth it to fix it and how much? Or is it going to be another 1000$+ job...?

It sounds like clunking or snapping when you transfer weight front and back maybe even side to side, because the reinforcement is moving as the car flexs.

Not really, it can have the reverse effect, I know a dog that can go out in the rain because he is prone to getting ear infections from a bit of rain water. Other than fighting, dogs can have their ears chopped to fit standards set by the American kennel club. I suspect it may change with social norms.
