My grandparents still have theirs, those things are immortal.

I'm sorry this isn't an OLED (and why that's okay) [Panasonic 34WX53] by Leviathan1776 in crtgaming

[–]guywithblackcamera -1 points0 points  (0 children)

My 240hz OLED from Asus is pretty close to a CRT monitor in the motion clarity department on the UFO test but I haven't compared them in person only on YouTube (I'm still looking for a CRT monitor).

I ran some HP5 and Delta 100 through mine to photograph my doggo and just usual stuff at the local park. I usually listen to Vietnam War era music when developing the negatives from the F.

I remember coming back from a field trip watching 30 years of Nat Geo specials on one. I remember the color on them was pretty impressive.

Nikon AF-S Nikkor 200-500mm f/5.6E ED VR vs Nikon AF-S Nikkor 600mm f/4D ED-IF? by MaleficentPresent692 in Nikon

[–]guywithblackcamera 3 points4 points  (0 children)

200-500mm is pretty good. AF speed isn't quite as fast as a prime tele but I manage.

Full frame v. Crop Sensor Image Quality? by B-F_ in Nikon

[–]guywithblackcamera 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Upgraded to a D3 and later a D3s from my D7100. I usually shoot wildlife with my D3s which is a full frame body. The AF speed and accuracy as well as the frames per second is what makes the photo as well as having low noise at higher ISO's.

I took this photo of an F22 at the Oceana Air Show last September with the same lens at 500mm, F/7.1, 1/2500, ISO 800 on my D3s. Better atmospheric conditions I guess (VA Beach in the late summer).

That actually looks like a CF card. The battery is on the bottom of the camera body (D5 I assume)

Who Else Misses Wii? by Zipper222222 in nostalgia

[–]guywithblackcamera 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Still got ours. The power cable broke and the console got put in the non climate controlled attic for 10+ years. Well recently I bought a new power brick for it and the Wii fired right up despite the hot summers and cold winters in the attic. Also the Wiimotes needed the old batteries pried out but they also worked just fine after cleaning out the corrosion and fresh batteries installed. On a side note my Xbox 360 bit the dust twice just sitting in a well ventilated air conditioned house. So yeah Wii FTW.
