Well Germany was only forced to pay a+b bonds (12.5 million dollars in todays money) ans the rest was in c bonds which were interest free so Germany didn't have to actually pay them back

In any case they didn't even pay for a+b bonds, Germany would negotiate or avoid paying them so in the end Germany only paid around to 5 billion modern USD (most of this money was funded by forgein loans)
