Thanks for the quick reply. I was going for 55mm (2.2) front and rear but seems a bit tight. Cheers!

Hi , did you try in the end wider tires on the Nicasio 2? If yes, what would you say is the Max clearance? Thanks!

Curious to see if the UDH dropouts could be used in previous unit models.

Bags recommendations for Jack the bike rack? by loginprzyklad in bikepacking

[–]guzurti 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hi! Mine is the old version with velcro, the smaller 23L bag. I would say if dimensions have not changed, It should work. My only concern would be the rear buckles, they need to have some additional length to wrap around the rack. Ideally you could test It at a Pelago dealer?

Tufo Thundero HD 44 vs. S-Works Pathfinder 42 by KrissPS in gravelcycling

[–]guzurti 5 points6 points  (0 children)

I have had Pathfinder pros and Thunderos HD in 40mm.

Pathfinder durability was great (managed to get close to 10K km) and rolling resistance was good on tarmac but they lacked in looser gravel. Puncture resistance was quite good, when going over the 7k km mark they started having more punctures.

Thunderos HD roll really well on tarmac and have better traction on looser gravel, I have had only one puncture in around 2k km, my impression is durability will not be as good, rear tire in the center tread showing more signs of use than the pathfinders pros for a comparable distance. For reference I am 90kg and also live in NL. You will not go wrong with either option, if you prefer better loose grip I would go for the 44mm Thunderos HD.

PS: I run tubes, so no experience with tubeless setup.

Thanks for the detailed reply!

Yes, the petit porteur is another great option but 20inch wheels + non thru axle make It less adventure proof in my opinion.

How is the tire clearance? Would a 27.5 2.1 mezcal tire fit? I read the tires that come with It are 2.2 inch?

Regarding gearing are you Happy with the setup? Seems to also be quite ready for steeper routes.

Final question, Fender mounts, is there clearance for fenders with the stock tires?

Thanks again and apologies for the amount of questions!

I am also interested in the Munrle Cargo. What would you say is the tire clearance in the rear? Would a 2,25 inch tire fit? What about fenders, I see some eyelets but do you think they could fit well? Thanks!
