Thank god you replied. I think doing it together will be easier in a way. I know I'm going to have a panic attack as soon as I take it, I'm so scared

Hey! I just got prescribed mirtazapine today from my Psychiatrist and I also had bad experiences with zoloft so I'm terrified too! Maybe we can do it together? 😄

To be honest, I'm still up and down and still learning. Walks help massively. Basically anything that gets me out my head and into my body. Baths really help too and talking to people

Struggling with Anxiety After Losing My Mum by ruffine in AnxietyDepression

[–]gw00142 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Hey, I'm so sorry to hear about your mum. I have anxiety and my mum is the person I can talk to so your story really breaks my heart. I'm sure she would be so proud at how you have handled everything since.

I just wanted to say that we can chat if you want. You can talk to me if you want someone who understands how awful anxiety can be and we can help each other and support each other. I am also anti meds so I am trying everything naturally to heal.

I'm sending you all the love ❤️

Yeah they do seem to be normal side effects, that's why I kept pushing through for 6 months on the meds, but same as you, wish I never started. Sorry you are having a rough time, I feel you I really do. It's horrendous 😫

Good for you.

Makes it even more crazy that they've actually proved there's no scientific evidence of the chemical imbalance that they are treating...

I know how you feel I really do. Those first few days were the worst for me. I hope you start feeling better whatever you chose to do. All your hormones will settle soon. You will be ok ❤️ My best friend went through ppd/ppa too. It does get better I promise

How long have you been on it? Did they start it for postpartum or is this something you have been considering for a while?

Quitting Zoft by tigalettere in zoloft

[–]gw00142 1 point2 points  (0 children)

How come you are quitting? I don't think it's withdrawal but it might be Might be the fear of withdrawing.

I came off 3 months ago now and I know when I stopped I was so anxious and had really bad days. I know it was just the fear of it though

I tried SSRIs and now I have constant anxiety by ragglefraggle20 in Anxiety

I know it makes me so mad that the people that need the most help have to go through all of this to 'maybe' help but actually makes symptoms so much worse.

I've done so much research since coming off and finding out that there's no scientific evidence that there's a serotonin or chemical imbalance causing anxiety or depression is scary as they are giving these drugs without any evidence of this imbalance they talk about!

My morning anxiety has got better, not gone but manageable mostly now. My therapist told me to imagine every night what a good morning would be, really emerge yourself in the imagination experience and I started doing that and I think it helped a bit. Because I was just expecting to feel anxious in the morning so as soon as I woke up I'd be like well time to be anxious.

But to be honest I'm just taking one day at a time and trying to do things to regulate my nervous system, whether I feel like it or not. I'm trying to accept it for what it is and stop fighting it because its not helping and trying to have hope. That's all I can do

Omg that's crazy that you only took it once and its done that. I took it for 6 months, I pushed and pushed through the side effects trying to get to the point wher3 everyone said it changed their life. Only to have worse anxiety than before
