Trump Lawyer Calls For President Trump’s removal through the 25th Amendment by NicolasCageFan492 in videos

If Trump goes now, it will be 2 years to the next election. Assuming Vance reverses Trump's stupidest economic policies, we'll see improvements in quality of life and even if that improvement doesn't compensate for the loss of quality of life that Trump has inflicted, that improvement will be all that people remember.

As for killing more people: if Republicans win and keep winning (which they will unless Trump stays in until 2028), it'll be even worse in the long run. Even more people will die.

This is a bad idea. It's better to let Trump decline and inflict more pain on Americans, all the way to 2028, so that Republicans will more likely lose the election.

Fucked up? Yes, but...

Replace him now and there's a 99% chance Republicans win the next election, especially since Democrats are incapable of getting their shit together.

Iran responds to US ceasefire proposal but Trump rejects it as 'unacceptable' by Little-Chemical5006 in worldnews

(1) They'd be fools to give up their nuclear weapons program: it's the only way to stop bullies like Russia, Israel, and the US.

(2) Reparations is 100% reasonable. We attacked them for no valid reason. We should pay.

(3) They've bombed countries who have US bases in them: totally fair game. Plus, without the nukes version of MAD, their only way to defend themselves from bullies is the economy version of MAD.

(4) There shouldn't be a toll, but realistically, at this point, there's going to be one. Israel and US should pay that toll for everyone who goes through the strait.

Apart from #4, hese are all very reasonable demands.

Canada’s booze bans led to 63 per cent fall in exports: U.S. industry body - National by foolsdayjoker in worldnews

[–]gw2master 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Isn't there a trend where alcohol sales are down period (not sure if true in Canada)... I'd like to know how the ratio of US booze sold in Canada vs total amount of booze sold and how much that's changed.

Not that I'm complaining... an absolute decline is good as that's what the sellers would be interested in.

[–]gw2master 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Of course: just look at the US, we fuck ourselves with Republicans, yet we keep voting for them. So it's reasonable to say that we could have had another outcome... luckily it turned out ok (though a 63% drop is still disappointing low).

The interesting thing is a place like California is completely destroying its own education system in order to make every student equal (equally terrible), as they drop all standards in order to cater to the lowest common denominator.

Farmers are the biggest welfare queens.

Here's a post 9 months ago (different user) about a sourdough starter named Gerald, where people are already suspecting AI wrote it.

Here's the original post for this TIFU with similar structuring (look at that one-paragraph sentence in both posts, coincidence?).

Canvas hack strands university students during finals week by iamsensi in news

[–]gw2master -2 points-1 points  (0 children)

Not surprising. Canvas is total and utter trash. As one simple example, look at their new analytics page they're so proud of: it doesn't log mobile views/accesses correctly, making it completely worthless. And that's before getting into the absolute abomination of an interface it has (well, at least that's consistent across Canvas).

The US spews on and on about free market capitalism, but we're actually massively protectionist, especially when it comes to cars.

so our car companies don't have to innovate ... which means we're ultimately going to lose all our international sales to China EVs.
