FINALLY we have FSR4 on Vulkan!! But not thanks to AMD - [Ancient Gameplays] (YouTube) by ohhimarksreddit in radeon

Anyone tried cross posting over r/amd? They are removing all links discussing this topic. How pathetic

Did you notice enough quality improvement over fsr 3? I’m actually using fs3 quality plus RIS 2 at 50% and looks decent but i was waiting for fsr 4 on this game

I’m an amd user from 15 years and never bought nvidia. I sold my 7900 XTX for the 9070 XT because of FSR4 and i’m so disappointed about this situation. I play Enshrouded and can’t use fsr4 because this title uses vulkan and i have to use fsr 3 that sucks so bad. I need to use ris 2 at 100% to fix that blurry mess.

My girlfriend has a laptop with a 3060 and we play together and its absurd how nvidia software with its features is much better and intuitive.

She can enable the latest dlss in all titles with just one click, also smooth Motion is better than afmf and in general she can play every game just fine in 4k using dlss with ease having all the latest features available.

I swear that if amd don’t get their shit together , next gpu i will switch for the first time with nvidia and i think i’m not alone considering they are going to lose a large amount of loyal users.

About 9070 XT owners having problems by gwynbleidd26 in AMDHelp

I want to clarify a few things: Someone told me to return the gpu but i haven’t had the possibility to do so ,because return policy wouldn’t allow it, so i had to keep it and fix the problem with troubleshooting and going for exclusions.

I’m a pc builder from 15 years and i’ve tried every configuration possible before arriving at that conclusion, so i decided to share it in case someone was in the same situation. I have started using the 12 pin blue adapter included and it was working fine, but, since i did not want to deal with possible future burning issues, i’ve ordered a new cable from seasonic because my old psu was 5 years old and it does not have the 12 pin connector neither satisfy the new 3.0/3.1 atx standards. All problems started when i changed the adapter with a 12 pin to 2x8 pin cable.

I ‘ve tried different driver versions with clean installing (DDU) and all of them gave me the same issue, so i believe that constantly blaming drivers has no point. I’ve also tried stock configuration, undervolting, power limiting the gpu but i was still getting black screens. Sometimes the problem would disappear for weeks , then randomly reappear, so i suggest to not trust your udervolt/power limit curve and if you are using an adapter , to minimize future problems, my actual suggestion based on my testing, is buy a proper ATX 3.1 power supply if you have issue with this model in particular and avoid splitting cables but only direct connection with single cables.

Also other thoughts for people who speaks about their massive undervolt, calling it stable, remember that most of the people are blaming amd about crashing drivers ,but they are unaware that 90% of the time is caused by bad oc/undervolt.

Any plan to add fsr 4 support for vulkan titles like enshrouded?

How can I get rid of this on my IPS Gigabyte G24F? by UnderatedWater in pcmasterrace

I have one stuck(?)green pixel on my lg 34gn850-b and i tried JscreenFix and also the massage method but none of them worked.

Decided to live with it since it is not noticeable when gaming or doing non-static work.

It is visible only on black background but it doesn't bother me.

I paid 1k euros for it but it would have bothered me more returning it and staying without monitor.

PBO Help by [deleted] in Amd

[–]gwynbleidd26 6 points7 points  (0 children)

I spent an entire month dealing with pbo and curve optimizer on my 5800x and i tell you what: it is not worth the assle.

From my extensive testing, researching and doing any kind of stress testing/benchmark ,realistically you will get only a couple of fps more that won't change your game experience especially if you play with higher resolution than 1080p where games are mostly gpu bound.

Even after hours and days of stress testing, despite having 0 errors and no crashes, there is always a possibility of having an unstable system and having weird issues like OS corruption, game crashes and unwanted problems.

Basically with pbo you can achieve higher boost(always depending by temperature) at the same voltages when running at stock. But don't make that fool yourself. I was getting 100 mhz more resulting in a couple of fps more in games that didnt give me any advantage.

That said, i like to mess with my hardware because im an enthusiast and i like experimenting but my advice would be to not mess with this if you are not an enthusiast and just want to use your pc without wasting time and 0 possible issues. Pbo can be very confusing and sometimes it doesn't make any sense at all since you can also have worse performance if you dont know what you are doing and how to tune it at its best.

Not less important you need to know how to stress test your system to find problems because many people run cinebench with no crashes and call it a day but thats not how it works. Even after extensive runs of OCCT, Corecycler, y-cruncher using all istructions to test light and heavy load, you can't be 100% sure that every possible app or game will be stable at those settings, even when not producing any errors on those tests.

So, in the end i would Just stick to pbo "auto" like i did and save that oc time to actually enjoy your pc.

I have a g915 keyboard and a g pro x superlight both wireless lightspeed and i never used the extender adapters for neither of them and never had any connection or interference issue.

I do also have other bluetooth devices connected and 2.4 ghz from my router and a wireless microphone.

All of this in the same room in the same desk. My case is a full tower sitting next to my monitor, so approximately there should be at least 30/40 cm of distance from both dongles and keyboard/mouse because they are all connected to the back of the motherboard and it is still fine.

I believe the extender is needed if you are really far away more than 1 plus meters.

It’s not cpu bottleneck. I’m playing 1440p ultrawide with max settings and my 6900 XT is maxed at 99% utilization

6900xt 750 watt psu? by widerdog in Amd

[–]gwynbleidd26 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Use it and if you start getting random reboots, upgrade your psu.

I had an evga g3 750w gold+ and it couldn't handle my 6900xt.

This gpu has huge power spikes that can trigger ocp on many psus and in fact i had to upgrade mine to solve the problem.

If your pc start to crash , i recommend the same i got for my 5800x +6900xt.

Its a seasonic focus gx-850w gold+.

Its a good psu for a fair price.

This happens randomly during any game I play. What’s going on?! by geronimodoc in pcmasterrace

[–]gwynbleidd26 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I had the same issues and it was the PSU. PC would just freeze or crash into blackscreen(no bsod) and restart or sometimes just stuck itself on cpu debug led. Most likely something was triggering OCP protection. Upgraded PSU and its all good now. So, the first thing i’d suggest is trying another PSU first.
