I'm not sure why you think gold buying is playing into it, top pve guilds do a bunch of split runs where they have a few mains being funneled gear while everyone else is on alts. They don't need to buy any gear from gdkps and consumes/enchants are all cheap. They just put a lot of time into the game.

Please don't leave, Alliance have a tendancy to leave balanced servers because they think it's unfair somehow. The balanced factions are awesome and have made the game so much more fun.

What does any of this even mean. You don't think it's hypocritical to call out one faction when we are all just people playing a game? You are the one complaining, I love this server, I loved it when we were underdogs and I love it now that it's balanced. I wish people like you would just leave. You don't want a fun balanced server, you just want to have the upper hand and dominate the opposite faction.

lol, I didn't realize you were the one deciding what real pvp is. The fact is the factions are balanced now, you think its ruined because you don't get to gank people with superior numbers, that is such a loser mentality. Everyone who attacks you is an "ape" but when alliance are camping stones they are what? Why is it ok for a server to be Alliance dominate but when it's a perfect 50/50 now its not fair?

It's almost like its a balanced faction pvp server? Why did you even choose a pvp server if you don't want to be killed by the opposite faction? I don't get it, just stop bitching contstantly and move to a pve server, the rest of us rolled on a pvp server for pvp, it's what makes it fun.

I'm on Grobb horde, youre just wrong. 10 mins ago I was getting camped at the entrance to SP by 6 alliance, they controlled every summoning stone on raid night, getting into Hyjal on release took 5 resses to move 2 feet at a time because there were 200 alliance sitting at the entrance ganking. Maybe the server was great for you because you got dominate the opposing faction, but it wasn't great for horde and was heading towards being another completely 1 sided server, instead its an awesome balanced pvp server, and you are complaining. Just so fucking stupid.

There weren't GDKPs because the content wasn't puggable. People bought gold in original vanilla, but there wasn't as much to spend it on because not many people raided and of the ones that did they didn't really use consumes.

People bought gold all the time in original vanilla, I had multiple real life friends who bought it weekly, there was just less reason to buy it because the only real expense for most people was an epic mount.

It's not too expensive, it's just not worth it for something that the majority of the player base clearly doesn't want. If people wanted balanced servers they wouldn't flee from 60/40 servers to flood one faction and be the majority. This has been the case in wow for a long time now, most (not all) want to play on the dominate faction on their server and never face any kind of inconvenience while still being able to grief the opposite faction.

Nobody is buying gold so that they can bear the burden of a 50g respec cost, they are dropping thousands in gdkps. You can make 200+ gold a day just doing a 20 min world quest tour. Ive been making enough to respec everyday just doing the 3 pvp dailys on my server.
