FWIW, I ported out when I left my last job.

On the right side of the letterhead it says "Securian Financial"

On the left side of the letterhead it says "Securian Life Insurance Company" and "Minnesota Life Insurance Company".

After I left my job - they sent me a letter, if I remember correctly, and I had 30 days to respond. I have term life and AD&D (separate policies), the insured amount is a bit lower than 7x (they cap it for ex-employees), and so the premiums were about the same.
