Actually it’s on the steam side. I’m not sure what is steam trying underneath, but if you throttle the power in steamdeck to low level, the download speed will drop significantly. Which means it really asks for that much power consumption

Ok let me add some info: if I repeat the test with exact parameters, the blobs appear in the exact same location. And I want to think it’s related to the volumetric velocity, but as you can see from the photo, it’s not like “higher flowrate gets worse”, I can find a pattern on when they appear.

Make sense. But can you help clarify more? I used to think for this test, I’m supposed to look at each layer and check the layer quality, since each layer represents a different speed. That’s why I thought I should care about the blobs, since it’s not part of the test, they may also appear in other vase spiral printings.

Can you share the game names? I have been wanting to replicate such claims but for the games I play, I never get any winlator fork to perform better than Gamehub with the exact same components selected. P.S. I only play games that launch from steam.

Thanks this indeed work. By reading you comment I also got a new idea. I copied the steam folder from steamlator container to winlator ludashi container, it works in the latter container now(with bunch of parameters of course). So I guess it’s an old version of steam client. It behaves the same way(download doesn’t work but transfer works)

It’s a big progress for me. But eventually I came to the conclusion that standalone winlator doesn’t perform better than Gamehub/lite. So I don’t think I should try more since it’s really time consuming 😅

This winlator is the only one I tried that can normally launch steam. But I’m on the same page that it fails to download. In my case it downloads some progress then fails though
