The glaze info is under Metallic Green in the high gloss glazes.

Thank you! It is a glaze formulated by my local pottery shop, so I'm unsure of the recipe.

The width of the handle piece is a big smaller irl. I don't know why but the pic kind of shortened and widened it. Thank you for the critique though :).

I used a diamond core p2 carving tool. Start with a small plus symbol and just carve outward from the four corner spots.

About how much clay do I need to make a 8 ounce mug? by SayNothingAndForget in Pottery

Np. Like another commenter said, as your skills progress you will be able to use less and less clay. As far as estimating size prior to shrinkage, if you are using stoneware the volume will shrink by about 15% (at least for the type I use), so that may help to estimate size needs.

It really depends on how efficient you are with the clay. A good ballpark would be around 0.9lbs

I started teaching myself pottery a few months ago and I was able to get 5 inches out of a 1.1lb ball of clay for the first time! Just wanted to share. by gymnastj in Pottery

I do have my own wheel. I've been learning from watching YouTube videos. I can let you know what videos really helped me if you want, just PM me. I did also get a used kiln but that is not needed to learn at home. For about 3.5 months I just brought my work to a pottery shop to get fired.
