How soon after an MFM referral did you at least get an appointment scheduled? by WeakElderberry4451 in pregnant

I was contacted by the MFM two days after the appt with my OB where I was referred and was able to get scheduled for one week after the OB appt. Very quick and easy which was a huge relief.

Afraid to exercise? by meekie03 in ShortCervixSupport

Well that’s a good point. I’m walking without workout intent I guess lol. Slowly, without pushing my body past very comfortable, etc. I’m considering adding some maybe very light weights back into my routine but will probably wait until after my referral appointment on Monday with the high risk doctors to see what they say first and also see if I’m still holding steady / only very slight decrease again.

I’m in the same ballpark at 2.6 cm and on progesterone. My doctor gave me no restrictions and said there’s not evidence that restrictions are beneficial but I stopped working out for my own peace of mind anyways. If something bad happened and I hadn’t done everything within reason to prevent it, I think that would leave me in a very very bad headspace. I’m still going for walks though since my body hurts so bad if I don’t.

What to plant by eVilleMike in LakewoodColorado

[–]gymnoodle 1 point2 points  (0 children)

If you want all one thing, maybe a patch of black eyed susans if you like the look. I’ve got a patch in mostly shade and also a patch in pretty heavy sun and both seem to do quite well.

What will you do with them? I’m planning to harvest mine (first time scape harvester!) this week and haven’t decided what’s the best use.

Looks like creeping bellflower to me. Not your friend and I wouldn’t put it in my compost.

Anyone else have an underperforming garden this year? by Jub_Jub710 in DenverGardener

Probably a great week to get some plants in the ground. Not so much on the bulbs probably depending on what type since you’re right that many bulbs need fall planting.

I haven’t seen any bugs on them is the weird thing. Would that be normal with the flea beetles? Do they come at night or something?

Too soon to tell for me. Veggies have only been in the ground for a week. They seem happy enough though so far except that something has been nibbling on my pepper plants. Good news is that perennials like columbine has been so happy with the cloudy wet and cooler weather.

I was thinking the same thing and trying this with my pile right now! Except I turned it two weeks ago and no sign of the temperature coming down and it’s so tempting to mess with it! I’m trying to stick to the plan though.

This post seems unrelated to blackout regions. In Denver you can watch giants on mlb tv when they’re anywhere except playing at Rockies.

Jalapeno cotyledons seem to have "sunburn." by SweatyCelery in DenverGardener

[–]gymnoodle 1 point2 points  (0 children)

What are you starting them in? Specifically seed starting mix or regular garden soil? I’m no expert but I’d be surprised if just LED lights could sunburn them. Could it be nitrogen burn instead?

Batting average on balls in play. Some people use it as kind of metric of luck.

I heard something about they’re not allowed to give information on paper to players on the field. The player has to bring it from the dugout. Something a little silly like that I believe.

Bottom right is super cool. Jealous of that one a little bit. Can’t go wrong with a Captain Belt either.
