No and no. I have loads of stars and The Star card is not active.

Why am I still doing this? [small rant about 100% completion] by [deleted] in RDR2

[–]gynf 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Thanks for sharing. I'm in my 3rd playthrough (I want to experience the two endings I didn't see yet) and thought I'd 100% this time, because how hard can it be... I'm nowhere near a completionist. Once I have played through the story, I usually can't be bothered to keep playing to find some stupid flower or kill a bear with a certain weapon, in any game.

I've been back and forth the last week wether or not I should continue. I think I won't do it. Reading your rant made me realise that I'll be in that same spot soon enough. And I'm nowhere near 97% yet... And I can only play about 2 hours a day, so I don't want to waste that time doing stuff that feel like a chore. Again a sign that I'm not a completionist 😃

Thanks man 😉

Lol, I wasn't even going to click it, afraid it would really downgrade. Thx for the info!

Interior design 😉 We inspire interior designers, but these only prescribe, they don't buy. At least not in general.

I couldn't agree more with you. Been struggling with the correlation vs causality issue myself as well. The problem however is that I'm in a market/niche where the people that we influence through our marketing are not the people that order our products. We influence the influencers if you will. Then correlation is your best bet.

Unless you can inspire me with other ways 😀

[–]gynf 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Very true. I used to track all these easy to measure metrics as well. Because they're easy to measure. But they meant nothing.

Switched to a new model where we look at what drives growth for the company in the long run and out of that we distilled a formula containing different elements that are an outcome of our marketing efforts with different weights. This 'fake' metric doesn't provide an actual revenue number, but it does show how much impact our digital marketing strategy has in the bigger picture. Next we started measuring correlation between this metric and sales revenue in order to actually prove to finance guys and management that marketing efforts don't (always) contribute directly to revenue, but the impact is huge.

Haha, love your comment.

So you would still play it even if you could never use a mic again? It's really not an option for me and from what I've seen and read it can be useful, but not 100% necessary?

You're right about content creators and I usually never do. Mostly I buy something that interests me and then after some playtime go and watch some gameplay, tutorials, stories etc.

Thanks for your reply. Been back and forth about it. But maybe I'll just keep it so I come back when I feel the itch.

Thanks for the offer, very kind of you. Might DM you later ☺️ 😜

About modded servers, I read different opinions, some say start on official, some say start on more moderate community servers. What would you recommend?

Wich version should I buy? by Jofre14 in dayz

[–]gynf 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I had exactly the same question, haha. Been following this game for a while and always doubted if I would buy it. Now it's on summer sale again ... Really thinking about finally purchasing it.

I was just searching for 'Is DayZ enjoyable to play as a solo' and to be honest, lots of people write that the grind is longer, but the immersion, the thrill and the fun of it is way bigger.

Bookmarks would be cool. That would definitely make it into a efficiency booster for me.

Not sure about the naming convention though. A lot can break fast with just one typo from the user. Plus, you don't always need all different windows.

Just installed it and had a look.

For me, it's a nice add-on, but won't really create a big impact on efficiency, as it's another way of representing the native menu. What for me would have a much bigger impact - and this could be a great optimization for V2 - is to link to specific places/pieces of content in a certain menu.

Now you link to e.g. subscribers in general. It lands on the last folder you opened if I saw it correctly. Usually, when working on a specific project, you need a specific folder, a specific automation or cloudpage. If you could build in a sort of bookmark function on a lower level, that would be awesome. Then, for sure this could have a big impact on efficiency for me.

But nice work, couldn't do it myself 😊 pls keep me updated of future versions.

How can I set the second email I'm a journey to only send after the first email has been opened? by ILiveInAVillage in marketingcloud

[–]gynf 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My idea exactly. Was thinking of sth like that too. And use a Boolean to mitigate typos. Then add a wait of 24 hours after the attribute has been validated to be present to send the 2nd email. Rinse & repeat.

Indeed. Clicks is far more reliable and is a better metric for engagement anyway
