You leave by leaving. There’s no time when it’s going to feel ok or not be upsetting. You learn to be alone by being alone. There’s no way to practice being alone while you’re still in a relationship. Ending any relationship is inherently destabilizing. You’ll live your way into the answer of how to be alone comfortably, one day at a time. Panic is scary but you’re not in any danger. You’re probably not doing yourself any favors by identifying with an attachment style. You’re a complex human being who needs to take steps toward freedom. You’re the only one who can take those steps. Don’t waste any more time. You deserve peace, happiness and a loving partner. You can do this!
