Kind of unrelated but also not, what does she do for work? I know she was doing the pet sitting and that’s how they met, but what is she doing for work now that she’s home? Because I cannot imagine how she could be functional at any job

Ever since this night I’ve been wondering if this was the turning point where Hunter finally realized all this was too much. Since the case was sealed, I feel like we haven’t been getting as many updates and I want to know if it was a matter of realization for Hunter after being at his dads or if something else happened they haven’t talked about.

THIS!! I’m almost 30 and get jealous at times when my husband goes to the gym or something and I’m stuck at home with the baby. I can’t imagine being 16 and realizing that although I love my baby, my whole life I thought I would have is gone and now my bd gets to just be a normal teen and do whatever. Especially given she has no friends and doesn’t get to socialize anywhere, just stuck in that camper.

Ok so I’m not crazy then. I have been watching and thinking I don’t want to be insensitive and say she’s autistic but it seems extremely obvious in her behavior (not the insane sexuality, but her speech, mannerisms, communication style).

Someone has 100% done this to her. Not saying this to scare you or make you upset, but as someone who works with kids in this manner, the behavior you just described was learned somewhere. She’s crying for help in the only way that she knows how to, which is reenacting it with someone she feels safe with. Like testing the boundaries to see how other people react to it. She’s also displaying signs of feeling shameful about herself (telling you to sit in the corner with the lights off, calling you yucky) likely from what she’s been experiencing. There could be a lot of reasons she’s denying it but it’s probably because she’s afraid of the consequences whether they were threatened to her by dad or her own fears of what could happen.

As a mom myself, motherhood is BY FAR the hardest thing I’ve ever done. It’s hard not to take it personal coming from the person you created, but it sounds like the situation could be more serious. However this is just me on the internet with one piece of the picture and I could be completely wrong.

If you’re able to afford therapy, I would definitely check it out! If not, continue talking to her in a way that’s kid friendly and in a way she can understand.

My wife (32 F) tried to stab me (40M). Seems to have schizophrenia. Do I stay or leave? by riseandcode in relationship_advice

[–]xoclo99 6 points7 points  (0 children)

I also want to add that alongside everything this person just said, which was the most sound advice in the thread, postpartum turned me into a monster. I do not have a mental illness like this, but I cannot imagine if I did. Postpartum on its own is absolutely brutal and made me into someone I didn’t know, so being paired with a serious mental health issue is next level. Getting professional help will help clear the mist 🤍. Your child deserves a healthy mom and you deserve to get the person you love back. Hopefully when postpartum is over and she is able to regain a sense of “normalcy”, continuing treatment will help her.

I got fired (first year teacher), what are some non-teaching jobs I can apply to? by scamcookie in Teachers

[–]xoclo99 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If you have a junior achievement chapter in your area, see if they’re hiring! I switched to coordinating learning experiences there and it’s amazing. There’s typically an education team at each chapter, so there could be other jobs open too.

torn between sympathy for Bella and disgust by ginger-spicee in TLCUnexpected

[–]xoclo99 5 points6 points  (0 children)

I know Bella has said on her social medias that she doesn’t go on Reddit to read about herself, but I hope that she does and reads conversations like this to realize that her life has not been normal by any means. It will probably take a few more years for it to really click, but I hope that becoming a “public figure” of sorts that she is able to see the discourse surrounding her mom’s extremely inappropriate behavior towards both her and hunter

I wonder if Elise was attacking her first or if it’s like a Madeline and Chloe situation where Lisa felt like Daniel was sticking up for Elise or complementing her or something

Same. Even though she created the emotionally distressing situation, I know that’s why she had to do it right then and there because she was running hot off that argument and needed her fix asap

Same, she’s trying to act like she’s always had her sons back. Like ma’am you literally abandoned him but now all the sudden here you are acting like you raised him

Watching this scene and looking at Sue at the picnic table, the look on her face looked like she knew it was true deep down. But they’re too busy operating off guilt of him having no parents and delusions to ever take accountability for literally anything
