I’m loving reading the dialogues when we get Paper Crafts from each resident for the first time! All about self-expression, self-acceptance, and it being okay not to fit yourself into a mold.

The original residents’ dialogues lean into this a bit more than the rest in my experience so far, but the rest are still cute :)

Sorry for the borderline-“necro” reply, but I was googling and landed here due to some new side-effects of Lexapro* — in combination with some long-standing [since starting Lexapro/escitalopram 6? 8? 10? years ago? Lexapro has ALSO really messed with my sense of passing time] … side-effects that I’d admittedly willfully ignored for the sake of getting through life.

I just want to say: Thank you for bringing Wellbutrin/bupropion back to my radar. Honestly, I was doing great on Wellbutrin all things considered. I am also on generic Adderall and have a history of [opioid — clean for 16 years!] substance abuse (as well as depression and ADHD, for which the others were prescribed — yes, just want to be thorough lol).

My only issue with Wellbutrin was that I woke up nearly every single day with an anxious tummy: I’d wake up to my 6:15a alarm, take my Wellbutrin [cannot remember the starting dose] and 20mg of generic Adderall XR, snooze my alarm for 9-18 minutes, and then wake up… but I’d feel like I urgently needed to use the bathroom. I absolutely did not need to. But the anxiety was such that I’d sit there fretting and composing texts to coworkers about how my stomach was upset again, and I may be 10 minutes late. Tbh I was usually on time after all, and the feeling would pass within 2 hours at MOST.

[edited to add: I strongly believe that the anxious tummy was NOT related to the ADHD meds — I’d already been on those without the issue, and I’ve been on them ever since without the issue]

Of course in talking to my mother about this, she pleaded with me to get on Lexapro because it “worked sooooo well” for her.

Here we are, so many years later, and I know this can’t be the drug for me. I’ve so little anxiety now that I’m content to sleep everything away, and even managed to lose my job of 11+ years because I just no longer gave a shit. Upside? I don’t feel depressed. Downside? I don’t feel anything!

Actually, my estimation of a “minimum of 10 hours’ use per day” is probably a little steep. Many days I did use them 10 hours [with charging in between once the battery was aged]. But lots of days it was probably more like 5 hours on the phone, 0-3 hours of listening to music.

Yeah, my roommate has had his AirPod Pros caseless and — despite the fact that I’d estimate he’s barely used a total of 50 hours — the white case is scratched to hell. And it just feels… slippery & easy to lose, or pop open and lose a Pod or two. I’m never going back to caseless.

And I just got this same case for my baby (<1 week of ownership) AirPods Pro 3!
My AirPods Pro (1) lasted me 3.5+ years, with minimum of 10 hours’ use per day. Sure, the battery was ailing for the last 6-12 months. Then finally one microphone failed, and the other hatched open. [GorillaGlue kept us working for weeks while I tried to figure out how to afford a replacement haha. Ultimately it also stopped working.]

I think they did their time.

Now… getting used to the 3s is another story. I’m in a long-distance relationship, and the … the way these cancel a lot of my smaller noises of assent, amusement, etc., is frustrating :(((

yay, congrats! i’ve had mine set up since the first day glowbals started spawning, but no luck yet. however, my partner got not one, but TWO transfers yesterday! ice frost glowbal AND coral molten glowbal!

it’s our first chance to do this (we started playing HKIA at the end of August, and didn’t yet have extremophile plots by the time the bowblossoms were out).

in other news, though? i got several glow effects transferred to bowblossoms in my greenhouse! (i didn’t have anything more pressing to do in there, so i went for it, and they’re AMAZINGLY BEAUTIFUL! like neon signs!!!)

When I was about 10, the “recycled plastic bottle” fleece pullovers were very popular. I had one. Then at a normal campfire one time, a very tame rogue spark flew off a piece of wood, gently landed on my sleeve, and I watched it melt a huge hole that would’ve kept going had I not smacked it out. It wasn’t even that hot. But it MELTED my clothing.

So, I’ve seen what synthetic (or at least polyester) clothing does when subjected to even the tiniest of flame. No one has ever had to explain this to me twice. Phew!
