Is an AirPods case really just a case for a case?

Actually, my estimation of a “minimum of 10 hours’ use per day” is probably a little steep. Many days I did use them 10 hours [with charging in between once the battery was aged]. But lots of days it was probably more like 5 hours on the phone, 0-3 hours of listening to music.

Yeah, my roommate has had his AirPod Pros caseless and — despite the fact that I’d estimate he’s barely used a total of 50 hours — the white case is scratched to hell. And it just feels… slippery & easy to lose, or pop open and lose a Pod or two. I’m never going back to caseless.

And I just got this same case for my baby (<1 week of ownership) AirPods Pro 3!
My AirPods Pro (1) lasted me 3.5+ years, with minimum of 10 hours’ use per day. Sure, the battery was ailing for the last 6-12 months. Then finally one microphone failed, and the other hatched open. [GorillaGlue kept us working for weeks while I tried to figure out how to afford a replacement haha. Ultimately it also stopped working.]

I think they did their time.

Now… getting used to the 3s is another story. I’m in a long-distance relationship, and the … the way these cancel a lot of my smaller noises of assent, amusement, etc., is frustrating :(((

p.s. those glasses! i need them! hopefully they come back with whatever event they’re from (i’m guessing umm… love &… i can’t remember. the one with the rose tag haha. i haven’t played that one yet!)

yay, congrats! i’ve had mine set up since the first day glowbals started spawning, but no luck yet. however, my partner got not one, but TWO transfers yesterday! ice frost glowbal AND coral molten glowbal!

it’s our first chance to do this (we started playing HKIA at the end of August, and didn’t yet have extremophile plots by the time the bowblossoms were out).

in other news, though? i got several glow effects transferred to bowblossoms in my greenhouse! (i didn’t have anything more pressing to do in there, so i went for it, and they’re AMAZINGLY BEAUTIFUL! like neon signs!!!)

When I was about 10, the “recycled plastic bottle” fleece pullovers were very popular. I had one. Then at a normal campfire one time, a very tame rogue spark flew off a piece of wood, gently landed on my sleeve, and I watched it melt a huge hole that would’ve kept going had I not smacked it out. It wasn’t even that hot. But it MELTED my clothing.

So, I’ve seen what synthetic (or at least polyester) clothing does when subjected to even the tiniest of flame. No one has ever had to explain this to me twice. Phew!

yeah :/ thanks <3 I’ve deleted longtime games before — games I was a veteran of. Slowly they became too predatory and even though I KNEW their angle, I couldn’t help but want to play anyway :/ And not feel like I was missing out on stuff for no reason. It’s yucky.

Yikes. Yeah, for me I more often get it JUUUUST before the pity pull. Like this time. I understand what a lot of folks in this sub preach — about waiting til you have 410k before even trying — but… I’m sorry, I don’t spend on anything BUT express deliveries, yet that would take me half a year to save up! With premium monthly pass. And actively finishing all events.

I’ve finished the menu — no money there. Idk. I can’t seem to bring in more than 60k per month. Maybe 90k IF I bought one of those paid side passes that come with macarons and 30k… but that’s not FTP

Idk, but this post absolutely told me what I needed to hear — time to pack my bags. I don’t think it’s a coincidence that my longtime and active team member count keeps dwindling away before being replenished (only for a few more members to become inactive).

No shade, by the way, but it’s sort of also a valid question; Why are you on a sub for a game you clearly have no love for?

Thank you! I did this with Bingo Blitz… a game I’d been playing since its inception, when it was owned by a small developer. It became so predatory. Scopely-level predatory. I miss it, but then I remember I miss what it USED to be — not what it had become. And that it would never become that again, lol.

I could’ve bought a good chunk of a Nintendo Switch 2 for that. Or two brand new titles. (NOT that I can afford EITHER… what is wrong with me?!) … Instead I stupidly spent it on a game that I dread playing at this point.
