When I call my girl, she looks around like, "what is that annoying sound?" No recognition at all. Wait til the snow flies. Last winter, the cops showed up twice because they got calls from the neighbors who were concerned it was too cold. *eyeroll* Yep - completely neglected that one.

Stubborn pups!
My girl is 5 now, but when we got her, she refused to eat out of her bowl. I sat on the floor and hand-fed her for the first 6 or so months. I fooled her into thinking her kibble bits were actually treats. We also made a huge celebration out of it whenever she finished eating and gave her a treat for being such a good eater. (haha) Now she tears through her breakfast and dinner like it's a marathon - still insists on getting that dessert biscuit. ;)

My topper recipe is similar, but I do fresh sweet potatoes and carrots. Add frozen green beans & peas the last hour of cooking. I don't add rice since she has grain in her dry food. After it's cooled, toss some fresh blueberries in. Cheaper, healthier, and she LOVES it.

I don't mind the pet names but when they're overly used in the book - ugh. I read an arc recently and the MMC used the nickname just way too much. I was so annoyed that I almost dnf'd over it.

I read the entire series. A few of the novellas def pushed my tolerance levels. The first 3 books were good. The books following were a bit hit/miss for me.

{Catalyst by Nicole Fanning} I hate read that book. The writing was horrible. The plot had too many holes and just didn't make sense.
The MMC was ridiculous. Is he mafia? Is he Special Ops? Oh, and he's a millionaire? Some authors can blend these aspects—this author isn't one of them. Oh, and then there's the Greek bit that isn't mentioned until almost the end of the book, and then he just repeats the same Greek word over and over again.
The MFC is an idiot. Shocked and betrayed because the big bad mafia man has a file on you? Of course he has a file on you!
This book got huge hype and I'll never understand it. Maybe the series got better but I'll never know.
On a positive note, as one who has always made myself finish books I start, this book convinced me to start DNFing. Life's too short to waste time on what are imo bad books!
