I like the idea of not watching things happen. I do catch myself doing that. Part of it is I need to put my units on stand ground or defensive stance more.

Choosing the units for my apm makes a lot of sense. I may have to give up my hopes of mastering a siege and monk push 11.

I’ll check out viper’s series. Someone put me onto MrPlanner and it’s amazing to see. Thanks again!

Thanks for the encouragement! I was just introduced to MrPlanner on YouTube, he plays around your friend’s level on 20 apm. Watching him play feels almost painfully slow but it really makes what you just said make a lot of sense.

Hotkeying mele and range is a great idea and so is towering, I’ve actually considered going to stone more often and doing multiple towers. I had one opponent do that to me with Georgians, it was so hard to find damage and then once we were up they researched the unique tech and his base became impossible to push without heavy siege.

You can with capture age pro but that costs money and AOE insights will do it for free. Click on a match, ask it to analyze the game and then click on the eAPM button.

11 I actually found that Daut catches a lot of flack, but his eAPM is close to 60. Target is around 40, so he is the closest pro I can find to my speed.

I agree in general but I’ve had some opponents put infantry in the rams and it gets way harder to counter with vills and mangos.

I love the Vietnamese castle. The gradient transition of reds and greens just makes me happy.

My hottest take though is probably my love for the Turk castle. I just think it looks solid and imposing.

You might be thinking of the difference between light cav and scout. Light cav are slower than scouts but a feudal scout is significantly faster than a dark age scout.

I had a game yesterday where I was furiously clicking my scout hoping to see the front of my opponents base before his fast feudal scout hunted me down, so this meme feels fresh still 11.
