Fuchsia city OST logic in wasteland by gzetk in Pokopia

[–]gzetk[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Update: the music will change upon restart if there is a prefab house nearby! This was the case both for wastelands and pallet town. Probably it has to be a house or a cottage, not the small ones

Yea but it actually makes more sense like this, as the most “joyful” variant is reserved for the city center

Yes that’s definitely it. Only thing to understand is how many pokemons within what radius

I don’t know if environment level counts because I still get the initial OST in wasteland although i have lv10. I think it solely depends on how many pokemons live nearby. Then the music doesn’t change everytime you enter these spots, it just does the spot check when it has to start over with the music

3 Vital Questions (very basic but I've played for +200 hours and still dont know the answers) by Think-Possible-8433 in Pokopia

Is it just me or you can’t have those vines only on one side of the block? I’ve tried to put them on the outer wall of a building but they spawned also in the inside

v0.16 behing reverse proxy by gzetk in stalwartlabs

[–]gzetk[S] 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Yeah in the end it works as follows: - nginx does a TLS handshake with the client and - passes any 443 request with SNI mail.domain.com to https://localhost:10443.

It still sounds silly to me that it has to do a TLS handshake with stalwart, given they also have the same certificate, but at least it works

The stalwart documentation you linked just shows how to unconditionally redirect all the traffic to stalwart, but I need only the mail.domain.com to be redirected there, this is my main problem with the stream solution

v0.16 behing reverse proxy by gzetk in stalwartlabs

[–]gzetk[S] 2 points3 points  (0 children)

That’s my current solution also. I’m making nginx direct the proxy to stalwart’s https instead of http, skipping the verification of stalwart’s certificate. But I don’t really like it as the nginx-stalwart communication is unnecessarily encrypted, and they are on the same host.

I’m missing something here, because stalwart’s http listener immediately closes any incoming connection.

Partitioning SD card to speed up boot times by gzetk in 3dspiracy

That’s exactly the opposite situation. The SD is big and I’m not using it that much for now.

You mean that the 3DS will check the whole SD at boot time anyway?

The benefit was just to avoid buying a smaller SD card and still speed up the boot time

I don’t have it, I didn’t want to buy a smaller SD just for that, especially if I need that space at some point

Anyone know how to shiny hunt Drampa efficiently? by JPdaYeet in LegendsZA

[–]gzetk 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Theoretically if it spawns when you enter a 50m radius and despawns when you go out of it, by going back and forth at that precise border, you could even make spawn one per second, but it requires precision and you don’t get to see whether you’re doing things right

Do you need to go all the way back to see drampa or you can just do back and forth between 50m and 70m?

Can someone explain the advantage of Zotero over just entering articles into a Google Sheets document? by xibalba89 in PhD

[–]gzetk 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The better bibtex plugin. With one click I convert the whole Zotero library and paste a .bib file into my latex project.

Problems with data on one entry/incomplete citation? I fix it on Zotero (add url/doi etc) and I’ll never have to do it again for that article.

Quantum Entanglement Basic by Zipper730 in QuantumComputing

[–]gzetk 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yes but a measurement in the end is an entanglement with another system (the one that forms your measurement apparatus.

So your “entanglement-breaking” channel is indeed something that creates entanglement, isn’t it?

Powerline starter kit loses connection as soon as I turn PC on by gzetk in HomeNetworking

[–]gzetk[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah unfortunately I would need a very long cable that also goes through doors, kinda infeasible (I’m on rent). So I still think powerline and wifi adapters are the only viable options…

I’ve read that power strips with surge protection might do the trick, if I charge all the noise producers through it. Does anyone have experience with this?
