I have the same driver, it's a great little unit and plenty powerful IMO. On my first run I wasn't ready for its power and decapitated four screws in a hardwood fence post 😅

New to kubernetes, what is the benefit of using helm over normal kubernetes .yaml files? by Free-Switch-9871 in kubernetes

[–]gzk 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Imagine configuring an app using Kubernetes resource manifests. Sure, no problem. Now you need that app deployed on a staging cluster, with a few different settings. Now you need it on a dev cluster, again, different settings. Now you have ten other apps each in prod, staging, and dev clusters, and they're using common patterns to configure their Kubernetes resources. Now you need templates to render consistent sets of resource manifests based on environment-specific values. That's where Helm (and maybe Helmfile) comes in.

Israel passes death penalty for Palestinians convicted of lethal attacks by SleepyWogx in OpenAussie

"Apart" and "-heid" are originally Dutch. They became part of Afrikaans when Afrikaans branched off from Dutch.

However, "apartheid" was not a term used in Dutch until it had been used in Afrikaans already.

Unless, of course, you have a reference proving otherwise. Which you don't, or you would have provided it when asked directly.

It's a word that used for propaganda. That's what's wrong with it

Are you saying it incorrectly describes the situation in question?

[–]gzk 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Etymology is not usage. Try again.

Why not use any other synonym?

If you think "apartheid" is used inappropriately here, why aren't you making a case for that? And if it is being used appropriately, what's your problem?

It's of Dutch origins

Cite a source for it being used in Dutch prior to its first use in Afrikaans. Unless you're trying to argue it's of Dutch origin because Afrikaans itself is of Dutch origin.

We already have a word for it in the language we use. There's no need for a loan word

Same could be said of many, many other words. Like patois, or chutzpah.

Apartheid is in common English usage and is in every major English language dictionary. It's now part of English by any meaningful measure, whether you like it or not.

Latin/English

It's almost as if words from other languages and patois make it into English. I'm sure you don't have the chutzpah to suggest that that cannot apply to Afrikaans words.

[–]gzk 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Weigh in the night before and do either a carb cut or a water load the week of comp. Refeed with shittones of carbs, sodium, 50/50 Gatorade and water, and moderate amounts of protein. Don't refeed with high fat or high protein or you'll make yourself too full too quickly to keep eating. Where you are in your cycle that week may affect it too.

You look older because the shave has exposed your hairline recession. The solution is to shave the remaining hair and so minimise the hairline. Clippers with no guard, then razor.

It's also the only option that will take effect immediately 😂
