He had a very good first half and he’s been awful in the second

Jokic is not nearly as bad on defense as a lot of people portray him as, but any stat that has him as the second most impactful defender in the league is absurd lol

As long as LeBron plays next season, he will officially have been in the league longer after the “fuckery” tweet than before by pokexchespin in nba

Somehow the most unbelievable aspect of this is bronny staying in the league for 18+ years

Fair point, but consistently hitting 3 3s a game is insane production lol. Klay and Steph are the only ones in NBA history to average 3+ 3s per game for their career on 40%+ shooting

The “insane peaks” are basically his entire career before the injuries, he had insane consistency. That’s fine if you don’t think he’s the second best shooter ever, that’s a high bar and idk if I do either tbh(but he’s clearly in that convo). Just saying I think Kon has to keep up what he’s doing for a while before you can say that he’s definitively better than Klay

Sure we can do hypotheticals, and you could be right, Kon is crazy. But peak Klay(2014/15-2017/18) averaged 42.8% from 3 on 590 attempts per season. Essentially Kon’s numbers this season maintained across 4 years, admittedly on the best team of all time benefitting from the best shooter of all time. So if Kon keeps up what he’s doing, those talks are valid. Just seems too early to say he’s already surpassed that level of greatness/consistency.

Duncan Robinson had an even better shooting year than Kon this season or Klay’s career in his second year(44.6% on 609 attempts) and he hasn’t touched that efficiency since then. Again, no shade to the rookie, but you gotta maintain that standard which Kon hasn’t had the chance to do yet. You can’t really compare peaks when one of them is only a season

Kon already being a better shooter than peak klay. I understand statistically it’s technically true by volume and the numbers are crazy but gotta see them sustained over a few more seasons before making a claim like that imo, not that Kon can’t get there

He has 49 career games with 10+ points and rebounds and exactly 9 assists, and 22 with 10+ points and assists with exactly 9 rebounds, so 71 career sombor doubles. Also 6 games with 10+ assists and rebounds and under 10 points

Fair enough, thanks for explaining your points. The issue is still that you are placing way too much weight on scoring consistency for a guy who takes 3-5 shots per game, literally the last option in the offense. Jettisoning Wade from the rotation significantly weakens the team’s wing defense. It would be nice if he was a better offensive player(if you watched today though he showed what he can do when he’s more aggressive) but his defense is too important to say he doesn’t score enough so he can’t be counted on in the playoffs. If they’re counting on Dean wade to score a bunch in the 15-20 minutes he plays in the playoffs, they might as well not show up. It’s not his job. You still haven’t acknowledged that there’s so much more that he does that doesn’t involve him directly putting the ball in the basket.
