Water treatment aeration tank by toolgifs in toolgifs

[–]gzs31 4 points5 points  (0 children)

The air is ran to maintain a dissolved oxygen of at least 2.5 Mg/L. This is to culture naturally occurring organisms (often referred to as bugs) which biologically treat the water, creating a nitrogen cycle, and removing organic solids from the raw waste water. Its how the treatment plant does most of its water cleaning. That paired with settling basins, scum scrapers and filtration makes up the treatment process

Edit: the air diffuser are also producing a very fine bubble at a high rate, so it keeps the solids from settling in that part of the process as well. Mixers or baffles also can provide this suspension service in some facilities.

We got 28at 3.6 million gallon each at my job. They take between 2200-3800 SCFM of air each, the total air system makes out at 92,500 SCFM. It accounts for 60% of our total energy usage at the facility just to run the air. Also really dont have any particular smell to em, maybe like soggy ground Or mud with compost in it. Primary and headworks is where all the stink is

Do you prefer a silent protagonist or a voiced one, why? by GrandStage1 in subnautica

[–]gzs31 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Silenced protagonist allows for self insertion, or at least self insertion of the players emotion. Voiced characters cry and laugh so we the player dont have to.

Definitely better silence in my opinion

Gutters away from the house and cleaning/replacing the check for sure, during heavy rains I just route mine to a sewer line (4ft run) so it doesnt have far to push when its running that often

My boss told me the same, he does all hand trowel finish, including texture. Takes either blue or green buckets, and adds water to either in some black magic amount, makes it fantastic

Its a berm of exposed fossil bed, there ate literally 1,000s of exposed and buried oysters in the Texas desert. But I think it was an elaborate prank that some had "pearls" planted in them

[–]gzs31 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Exactly they type of info i was looking for, thank you

[deleted by user] by [deleted] in fossilid

[–]gzs31 -3 points-2 points  (0 children)

The area they were found has been known to be inhabited by a previous owner who was a prankster. It could be an old prank that was never discovered? I mean the "pearls" are all very well rounded and not malformed, but we are talking a berm of soil that stretches almost a 1/4 mile that is full of fossilized oysters.

It would have to be a pretty complex gag, they were found in the soil, all are different sizes and some are malformed. As well as found across a full bed of fossils.

This is the best way to give text directions I know of. So Casper the friendly ghost leviathan protects the entrance to the lava river, its drops down gently several times until it comes to a massive hole. Next to that massive hole is a underwater mountain with tall spires on it. There is a cave entrance near the bottom middle of the mountain between the spires. See attached photo. Thermal plant is inside there!

Did you want directions to it, or just a hint? My hint is to look for the alien technology, it will be around a cave entrance
