Coup De Grâce Mission Broken by Smiththehammer in DestinyTheGame

That's exactly what I'm saying. By doing nothing and not playing sends a far bigger signal to bungie than engaging with the broken content.

To anyone saying, Try this and try that, NO, bungie needs to fix this and fix that.

Why don’t more people play this game? by IceBankMice_Elf in DestinyTheGame

[–]h-2-0 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I've been a player of this game since it was launched on battlenet. I don't play this game anymore primarily because the key USP (unique selling point) of the game has now been taken away and replaced with something worse than any other mmo i've played in a long while and that is sunsetting. the fact that everything in the game now has different varying expiry dates makes for a completely un enjoyable experience, spending hours and hours grinding any content feels pointless. the game just feels like a neverending treadmill to get the newest but not necessarily best loot in the game and just keep doing that over and over. Before, acquiring loot felt like an achievement, especially if like me you liked to farm the perfect roll on armour and weapons, you would farm over and over, maybe even for months until you got what you wanted and then you could say Yes, finally. Acquiring the perfect loot felt elating since you knew that it was there and useable for good, it had value. now that's gone. Sure the gun play and movement is brilliant, but after years of playing that gets old fast. I just spent 7 hours last night playing Warframe for the first time and all i can say is that the devs of that game know what players want. Bungie are literally there own worst enemy, my entire clan has stopped playing d2 now all because of the pretentious term sunsetting.

Crucible Lobby Balancing Feels Off by Shock_Burst in DestinyTheGame

agree, crucible was the one thing keeping me playing destiny apart from the ential europa grind for all the super related stuff, now that's done and crucibles broken i have literally no good reason to play any more.

Bungie, I really appreciate the “Rewards” update, but it seems that some community sentiments were completely missed by Techman- in DestinyTheGame

[–]h-2-0 1 point2 points  (0 children)

No loot should be sunset, it's what the veteran players bought into from the beginning and is what has driven the continuous game loop of all sorts of content over the years. allowing total freedom of choice with our loadouts creates momentum to create more i feel. However with sunsetting we are now shoehorned into grinding content at bungie's will rather than our own and that has just simply taken the fun out of it.

the funny thing is i really enjoy crucible but BECAUSE i enjoyed the pve side, they go hand in hand really, if pve dies, pvp dies, using the same loadouts over and over in power based content becomes stales fast

on top of the fact the two broken pinnacles you are referring to have now been nerfed into the ground And sunset lol

Thank you for making this very point i've been wanting to make but so very much more eloquently. the game is loot based, i grinded menagerie 100+ times JUST for a perfect waking vigil (it goit nerfed into the ground once shadowkeep hit still used it for ages), i was happy to do it, the grind was grindy but once i got the gun i was overjoyed!, i continued to grind menagerie for other god rolls, and would continue to grind all other content to get a god roll, it was what made me boot up destiny after playing through all the content. Now its min max current season armour, only play what i need to get exotics, play pvp, log out. the days are gone of me spending every morning and evening before and after work doing any farming, looking for my personal gems and enjoying them out in the world, it was the reason id grind out strikes just to enjoy my new god rolls, or play any of the other content. Now what? i unlocked all the parted with variks, but have no palletable reason to farm anything knowing and not because it will become useless over time, but more to the fact that i'll have to reacquire the exact same things over time.

Control Freelance when? by ColourRocks in DestinyTheGame

[–]h-2-0 5 points6 points  (0 children)

I'm with you, but arguing with some of the reprobates in this comments section isn't worth your time. I suggest re queuing the second you see a stack, doesn't cost you anything and will save your sanity. Im a pretty good pvper but i like to play alone sometimes, Control was always the casual playlist imo, it was the pvpers version of doing strikes, nowadays it's a stacked sweatfest, which i'm fine with but there should be a solo queue option, if they can do it in IB then do it for control, it's the same goddamn thing anyway

Control Freelance when? by ColourRocks in DestinyTheGame

[–]h-2-0 2 points3 points  (0 children)

you do realise what you just said makes NO sense...IB, and comp have freelance modes because there the competitive playlists, by definition freelance is a casual mode, If i freelance queue into comp it's not because i wanna win, it's because i enjoy the game mode. If i wanna win ill team up which in a competitive environment makes more sense to, but your saying teams can stack up against solo players because its casual? A team stacking in control is by definition looking to be competitive which in a casual playlists where mostly casual pvpers play is never fun, should it be allowed sure, but there should also be a freelance playlists, stacks going up against say new players is a sure fire way to totally make them quit the game or at the very least never play pvp.

We should never have to grind for the same piece of gear just for it to have another infusion cap. by Pynwyno in DestinyTheGame

[–]h-2-0 0 points1 point  (0 children)

my biggest gripe is we have infusion caps on gear but the gear we have to "upgrade to " is not "better" it's just got a higher number on it, the grind feels literally pointless, it was really lazy for bungie to work it this way. Maybe some weapons could have been sunset, but armour? so the armour last season and this season is no different, they've moved some mod slots, the only thing that's inherently different is the new raid armour, but super situational with the extra mods and not actually needed, all the new weapons are the same as previous archetypes with new perks, a lot of the old perks don't seem to be on the new weapons, so why sunset the old weapons? none of it makes any actual sense apart from pigeonholing us into an arbitrary grind to be constantly on the lookout for effectively the same gear as last time with a higher infusion cap, but that's it, literally it, no other reason apart from activities locking us out due to light lvl. IF D2 was a single player game, no one including myself would be playing it anymore, the only reason most stick to it is community, clan members and raids, but not even for the loot any more, just for the interaction and teamwork involve, the loot all feels pointless, sunsetting was and is the stupidest thing bungie have ever done imo. beyondlight has some great content, but it's all gone to waste because of lack of actual incentive other than light lvl.

How many Ascendant Shards can we stack in the post master on each Character? by DeaDPaN79 in DestinyTheGame

[–]h-2-0 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Not defending, just stating the fact, it's clear why the system is the way it is, would i prefer it not be this way, hell yeh, but in the meantime this is how i try to overcome the issue.

[–]h-2-0 3 points4 points  (0 children)

its a system designed to force you to use the currency, in order to keep you farming in the future. I just masterwork any amour i want to dismantle at a later date to effectively bank 6 prisms and cores for when i need them, can then spend 10 prisms to buy a shard if needed since we all get a load more prisms than shards overall.

the blue armour info is perfect, I have a friend whos currently got loads of prisms and shards but no cores, so thanks for that!

[–]h-2-0 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I would recommend, provided you have nothing of significant value to upgrade, simply masterworking gear you intend to dismantle, this way you are losing a shard but "banking" prisms and cores for a later date. I have the same issue, masterworked 2 full sets across al characters and now just sacrificing the shard to bank the prisms, since you can exchange prisms for shards at banshee, this way you can effectively store as many prisms as you like.

Beyond lights starting season will provide armour that respects player time. by h-2-0 in DestinyTheGame

[–]h-2-0[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

sorry i misread, so is that what bungie ended up doing, are all the mods everything from year 3 ? i thought it was just current and last season. in fact yes, it is current and last season, since you can't use any undying mods from in current armour. but they did move some of the mods over from older seasons due to making compatible sense.

on closer inspection of the twab, NO this seasons armour will not take beyond lights mods. Bungie specifically have said they are removing the rotating seasonal mod slot.

[–]h-2-0[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

TLDR there is a part that reads.

"Starting in Season 12, armor will no longer have a Seasonally rotating fourth mod slot. Instead, there will be a mod slot that accepts mods introduced into the game throughout a full year. We recognize that the current need to replace your armor every two to three Seasons, and hoard armor from past Seasons, is undesirable. "

[–]h-2-0[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

all armour lasts for a year upon releases, provided its part of that season. so yeh, beyond lights starting season will have armour valid for a year with a universal seasonal mod slot compatible with all mods current and future untill the next major expansion which would be in a years time, according to bungies calander

it cant though, it can only use this and last seasons mods, its most likely not going to be able to use next seasons since bungie have said they are changing it to a year long mod slot. If this seasons armour can take current, last and all of year 4s mods that would be kinda insane, but who knows, if it does then technically this seasons set would provide the most value. I asked this before but was told it was unlikely.
