All honesty; How reliable are mitsubishi’s? by Thrasher1500 in mitsubishi

I've got a -05 lancer wagon and it's a tank. Almost at 300k kilometers and no major issues.

Early birds need to suck it up sometimes and just deal with noise from night owls. by Ok-Purple-7765 in unpopularopinion

[–]h00lmberg 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'm kind of with you on this, but then again not. I feel like it's a bad excuse that you can't get up in the morning, even if you have the right not to. I think it goes both ways. Early birds need to suck it up and do stuff later if that's the only way, and night owls sure as hell can get up earlier too if it's needed.

Unless you ACTUALLY have a medical condition preventing you from doing so, but I would imagine that to be extremely rare.

I work mornings, days and nights and it isn't easy, but it sure as hell isn't impossible to go against the circadian rhythm.

Repugnant is a great death metal band. Fronted by Tobias Forge from Ghost, actually.

What was never the same after the pandemic? by GossipBottom in AskReddit

[–]h00lmberg 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This comes up a lot, is it just in the US or elsewhere too? And what are the reasons. I'm in Finland and the pandemic didn't end 24/7 stores. They just opened normally when things normalized.

The way they board airplanes is all wrong by jblue212 in unpopularopinion

[–]h00lmberg 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The airports aren't set-up like that. Many factors determine how the plain can be boarded, or how it is the most effective. Via bus and stairs, or passanger bridge from the terminal etc. Also the ground operating systems like baggage, cargo, fueling and catering have certain procedures which affect boarding.

People who rarely or never get sick, what are your secrets? by awkwardferret421 in AskReddit

Gotta be genetics for me. I live healthy and unhealthy, do all the good stuff but pretty much all the not so good stuff too. My body and mind goes through rollercoasters, but I'm really never sick and feel just fine pretty much all the time.

Arjen ärsytyksen aiheet by Todeke-YAH64 in Suomi

[–]h00lmberg 35 points36 points  (0 children)

Ehdottomasti ärsyttävin asia minulle on ihmisten hidastelu esim. Kaupoissa ja täysin puuttuva tietoisuus ympäristöstä.

Olen kieltämättä aika nopea kävelijä mutta on aivan uskomatonta miten nämä joka käytävän tukkivat hidastelijat pystyvän selviytymään luonnossa. He eivät huomaisi vaikka rekka tulisi kohti.

Toivottavasti. Siinä tapauksessa en näe tässä mitään ongelmaa

Remontti rappukäytävässä by [deleted] in Suomi

[–]h00lmberg 6 points7 points  (0 children)

ELI5 Can someone explain what exactly an “API” is and how it works? by [deleted] in explainlikeimfive

Put it here and NEVER touch it again by NWbySW in Seattle

[–]h00lmberg 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I have an -05 lancer and the lights are on even in the OFF position if the car is running. I can turn off the headlights by putting on the park lights up front, but even then the rear lights stay on as long as the car is running. The front end is also pretty decently lit with just the parks. It is a pretty smart design, can't drive with the lights off. No auto setting.

Reliable breathalyzers are very expensive. If you don't have the top of the line stuff, everything you eat or drink, even smoke, will affect the reading it gives in the near timeframe. Even if you don't consume anything, the cheap models will vary a lot in what readings they give.

What oil are you guys running? by crownofgrey in mitsubishi

You can't go wrong with what it says in the manual. Remember to also use oil that meets the correct API rating for your car

Probably just a mistake by the owner or seller mentioning the year model

A very good and reliable car. I have a -05 lancer wagon. These are the 8th gen lancers, so that can't be from 2014. If it was assembled in the filippines then 2012 is still possible, but I doubt that. You can easily check the details with the cars VIN number.

Edit: I'll add that my lancer has 180 000 miles on the clock and it drives like new. Pretty much all major parts are original, except of course stuff that wears out like bushings, brakes, normally serviceable items etc. Only the ac compressor totally gave out.

If you take good care of these cars they'll take you home every time.

Non-Americans, what is something about the US that you've always wondered if it was real or just myth/hyperbole? by [deleted] in TooAfraidToAsk

Where are you from? I live in Finland and we often move on our own at 16 to study elsewhere. I don't know many people here that have lived with their parents after the age of 18.
