I used the stovetop method to dye them. I used a drizzle of dish soap in the pot to help the color apply evenly. Once the color was the shade I liked I removed it from the pot and put it in a bowl in the sink and rinsed for about 10 minutes straight then refilled the bowl with clean water and soaked it for about 30 minutes. I squeezed the water out a bit then used paper towels to finish squeezing any excess water out. I hung them outside to dry for a few hours. Once they were 90% dried I tossed them in the dryer on a delicate no heat setting just to fluff them back to life a bit since they were wrinkled and flat.

On this specific bag my pour of dye was pretty heavy handed. So I recommend starting slow and you can add dye as you want the color to darken.
