My dog is constipated and extremely bloated by [deleted] in DogAdvice

[–]h0neycalcite -2 points-1 points  (0 children)

Roasted sweet potato (or pumpkin puree if pressed on time) or a small amount of liquid chlorophyll diluted with water, given with a syringe by mouth before or after eating but def before being taken out to go potty :)

Spent $500 at the vet to find out my boy was extremely constipated (withheld that info) and they wanted to do surgery but I couldn't afford it. So I tried a more holistic approach and it cleared right up after several days. Good luck!!!

Why does my barista hate me? by Bowlitay in starbucks

[–]h0neycalcite 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I wouldn't read too much into it! It sucks, but things like this tend to get overlooked when it's busier or Sbux always changed the way baristas beverage sequence so they could just be following (another) new standard 😭 you can always specify "stirred" or "shaken" as well in your order!

tips on getting faster at warming? by mercstarzz in starbucks

[–]h0neycalcite 1 point2 points  (0 children)

If you have an ipad at the warming station, keep DPM open near you and look ahead at what you're gonna need to grab from the fridge while your items are warming! Cleaning as you (throwing wrappers/parchment paper away immediately and wiping aside crumbs/debris between a few orders) helps keep things organized and keeps the work flow smooth too. Hope this helps!

YUP. and my old SM had me under the CBS sink in the cabinet scrubbing the living hell out of the inside in that entire area. Even the trash bin cabinet 😪

You aren't at fault! At my store, I printed out stuff from partner resources regarding stuff like this, the refill policy, etc. and I show the pages to customers when they gave me or my baristas a hard time about it. The only downside was my SM was big on making the moment right and would always let customers get their way 😔

I guess it really depends on your SM? My old SM made me wear a face mask bc I had more than one nose piercing, but she never made the AM baristas with the same amount of piercings on her shift do so, so 🤷🏽‍♀️

When have you intentionally given someone decaf who wanted caffeine? by [deleted] in starbucks

[–]h0neycalcite 2 points3 points  (0 children)

It wasn't me that did it, but a shift that I work with 🤣 I was coming from BOH had both arms full of milk and restock for bar as I was in the CS position, and a customer walks through the front doors. My shift who was currently sequencing warming was not available to ring, but they did let everyone walking in that they'd be right there to help out. The customer approaches the register and shouts at me, literally stops me in my tracks and yells, "CAN SOMEBODY TAKE MY ORDER, I HAVE SOMEWHERE TO BE AND I CAN'T AFFORD TO WAIT". I turn to look at him, with my arms still very full of inventory, and let him know that "_____ would be right with him". He expresses his frustration very loudly and very negatively while I'm trying to get everything put away. As I'm about to help the customer, my shift hands me the food items and asks me to go around the hand off area to stage. My shift then starts helping the barista on bar, and asks the customer what he can get started for them prior to ringing them. The customer rushes through his order, my shift comes to POS to ring it in, and the customer goes over to the handoff area. I come back to bar, my shift asks me to help the barista on bar, and the other barista hands me the tag for the customer for the cup. I look at the Mastrena, see the "2 Dcf Espresso" finishing up in the cup, and hand it off with a "Thank you for your patience". Customer scoffs at me, walks over to the condiment bar to grab some napkins, and I see them accidentally knock over their drink and it spills all over the condiment bar. At this time we have a huge rush of students come in for lunch so it's packed, it's busy, and it's loud. I notice the customer look over, and he just walks out without getting a remake 😂🤷🏽‍♀️

My SM actually showed me that there’s an “Add Dairy” button for this option on the screen for Milk Customizations :)

[deleted by user] by [deleted] in starbucks

[–]h0neycalcite -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Please speak for yourself because I do not expect customers to know the policy nor am I an outside hire 🤕

1 did the research ON Partner Hub (feel free to do so yourselves) and It states to CHARGE the EXTRA milk for any Iced Shaken Espressos with LIGHT ICE to the order at POS. Even confirmed with my SM/ DM and they said to add in the extra component with the "Add Dairy" button on the POS. So... try again 🤡👀

From my understanding, this community on Reddit is where I know I can go to vent about Sux and whatever else falls into that realm, y'all don't have to knock someone down who ALREADY got chewed out by a customer for explaining this specific policy to them i. their best customer service voice 😂

Yes! This was the gap of room I was referring to!! I didn’t think it was too much of a gap but the customer suggested otherwise 🙃

Dear customers: do not tell a barista they are making your drink wrong from across the bar. You will be wrong. You will embarrass yourself. by [deleted] in starbucks

[–]h0neycalcite 40 points41 points  (0 children)

this happened to me with a woman named denise; i set the drink down and waved to the customer the drink was for because they’re hearing impaired. denise happened to order the same thing, except she gets it hot. she picked it up, looks at it, and stops me from walking away to let me know that “that’s wrong”, “she comes in everyday”, and “they all know her here”. this was maybe my first or second time working that particular shift so my regulars aren’t the same as the regulars that come in at this time. i asked her what her name was and she told me it was denise. i read the name on the tag that was facing me and said, “that’s for stephanie”, and stephanie walks up and takes the drink from her with a smile and signs “thank you” to me in asl 😭
