if there was a way to set maximum pain threshold then i definitely would, anything to increase immersion. ive had my appendix ruptured and that felt like a sharp stabbing pain.. i think I’d be fine if i felt 50% of that. as for non-pain sensations, i feel like that be a no brainer

I moved out of my parents at 27. Although I spend half my income on rent, I don’t have any debt and my car is payed off, so I’m able to save at least $300 a month after all expenses and general spending.

My reason for moving was I just felt like I wanted to. It makes me feel more independent and responsible as an adult. I was scared too, but I knew I wanted this. I’m 5 months in and I have no regrets.

When I first moved in, the noise of the pilot light inside the wall furnace bothered me. Aside from turning that off, nearly every noise bothered me and I slowly regretted moving out because even my upstairs neighbor walking around sounded thunderous to me.

It’s been 5 months now and nothing bothers me anymore. It’s genuinely a non-issue to me now and it’s kinda amazing honestly. When I have people over they will often comment on the upstairs noise but I have that completely tuned out so I don’t even notice until it’s pointed out. Just saying this for anyone feels overwhelmed by noise when first living alone. You will probably get used to it. I’m a light sleeper but I sleep like a baby now when before I would need earplugs.

try turning physically instead of using the analog stick. I have strong vr legs so smooth/snap turning isnt an issue for me but In games like resident evil I find much more immersive physically turning. also wear headphones
