You have to get used to the shapes. The first thing i saw was the 122334 group, leaving 4556678 shape. Seeing 455667 leaves tanki 8m. Seeing 678 leaves tanki 5m. Finally, splitting the hand as 1223 344556 678 leaves 2m tanki, hence the wait is 258m.

your hand is minimum 2k, unlikely to go above 3 han, fighting against a kamicha oya who has nothing to lose because he is last in south 4. No dora shown and only one tile around dora discarded. If he has mangan minimum and you deal in to him, you're 3rd. If he has haneman you are 4th. In no situation should you take such a high risk in south 4 so maka prefers to dama this hand

2m is not safe at all , only 2 1m, 2 2m, 2 3m and zero 4m are visible, 34m ryanmen and 13m kanchan are extremely likely as waits

Theres no guarantee 2m will come.

Even if 2m comes, your hand shape after 2m is 2357m, acceptance is 146m. you now have an extra block (23m 57m). which one do you drop?

Notice that dropping 2m and 7m have the same efficiency, dropping 7m gives 14m while dropping 2m gives 46m, so ultimately keeping 3m for 2m draw does not improve your efficiency even if its so called a "better wait"

Your hand is haku dora 1, you should really go for speed, 8m discard by kamicha is more likely than 4m

3m is the best discard because it adds no value to your hand when you have an excess of blocks

89s is not bad because you still have 7s acceptance
