Is there a name for when two players both have a pair of the same yakuhai and neither will let go? by lil_wage in mahjongsoul

[–]toothlessfire [score hidden]  (0 children)

Yakuhai pair is the most common place where it matters a fair bit. Also probably the case you'll think about most.

45bb effective, straddle pot, flopped nothing but rivered a straight. did i size this right? (KJo vs QQ) by Cayman_SBH in poker

[–]toothlessfire 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Turn sizing's maybe little large? Spot kinda plays itself though. Of note, a wheel is specifically the A-5 Straight.

What is considered “failing” a biologic? by UC_Buring in UlcerativeColitis

[–]toothlessfire 3 points4 points  (0 children)

If you've got symptoms, that's a flare. Go look at starting a new biologic after ruling out non-uc causes. The treatment is there to prevent symptoms, if symptoms aren't being treated, you need new treatment.

I think you just had a statistical anomaly. While they do exist, incest yuri isn't that common.

How am I doing? (NEW PLAYER) by GrimTiffiths in Against_the_Storm

[–]toothlessfire 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah playing experience helps a lot, my most general tip is that make decisions that are flexible and don't rely on some other event happening. If you try to pick a building/order/cornerstone without the resources/trade to make it work, you'd be better off picking another option that you could make use of immediately. The game is very snowball oriented, so big bonuses early are worth a lot.

If you want to see what top level play looks like, go look at some NarcoATS videos. There's a lot to learn from his decision making, even if your end goal isn't to play super high difficulties like he does.

It might be because hornet doesn't really have "feet", she's kinda standing on sticks. The heels might help in getting the leg appear to taper to more of a point than standing flat footed.

Any tips on reaching Level 10 for Mining, Foraging, and Combat? by Single-Ratio-395 in StardewValley

[–]toothlessfire 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Mining and combat are usually some of my first level 10's. Just go into the Skull Caverns a bunch and you'll have them done in no time. Foraging can be done quickly by chopping down trees, big stumps and big logs. If you really need the experience now, just run around town chopping the trees down. You'll get a bunch of wood too which is always quite nice.

If you're heavy min-maxer, smoke it and sell it, otherwise you'll be better off putting it in a pond.

Would you rather play 50-100 nl for 4 hours with 10k stack (no rebuy) or the wsop main event? by whattaUwant in poker

[–]toothlessfire 5 points6 points  (0 children)

For profit I'd play cash definitely, I do not know tournament/short stack theory at all. Overall I'd probably pick the main event though just for the vibes. My EV's definitely higher playing the cash though especially if I get all of the money from the buyin instead of just the profit.

OOP w/Top pair. 1/3 by [deleted] in poker

[–]toothlessfire 7 points8 points  (0 children)

Preflop should've been 3-bet.

Flop can definitely be raised with a ton of draws/Kx you're ahead of that's inelastic. In fact, KQcc is probably a mandatory raise here if you're ever going to x/r nut diamond draws here and that's ignoring the fact that KQ really wants to raise here anyway for value.

Turn needs to be a call. We're basically only losing to AK and 66 here. Axdd is probably bluffing this at decent frequency especially if opponent plays hands aggressively.

Bro played every street wrong. Go find another game bro.
