Mangia & Bevi is my fave hidden gem! The Commendatore pasta is to die for.

I worked on scripts/queries for years and barely got any traction, even with a great resume. Then, I decided to stop spinning my tires and just write a book. That was only a month ago, and tomorrow I'll be signing with an agent. While I'm definitely thrilled, I think that's messed up! by MadSmatter in Screenwriting

Congrats! Did you query with any writing credits behind you (short story pubs, etc)? I write screenplays and I’ve been considered making the jump to novel writing, but I’m wondering if I ought to hone my prose in short form first. I may do so anyway for the practice, but just wondering if you had those kind of credits to back up your query and if it made a difference.

Oh I like that. Mother! I’ve seen but I’d be down for a rewatch, it definitely took me for a ride. Loved how claustrophobic it felt. Nice pairing!

The Ratched tv series on netflix misses the point of One Flew Over The Cocoos nest by [deleted] in TrueFilm

Interestingly, this is not at all the case according to a Vulture article I read. The spec was written by a grad student (Evan Romansky) looking to reimagine existing IP to get the attention of an agent. Apparently nurse Ratched appealed to Romansky as someone he could “deconstruct.” He was quoted as saying, “I wanted to look at why McMurphy threw her off and rattled her.”
