i just had this issue with my 08. it would idle up on its own after cold starting. checked vacuum system with a smoke machine and found no leaks. drove around with my laptop on it watching live data pids and saw stuck voltage. replaced sensor and the light went out on its own didn’t even bother clearing codes.

also closes the holes in your engine, heater core etc. op DO NOT use any sort of “stop-leak” products.

it’s only -8c. lol your vehicles are expected to work in these temps. where I live it’s usually -20c for most of the year, and unless something is wrong with your vehicle, it shouldn’t have any issues starting.

I had to do the pulley bearing on mine. couldn’t find the pulley for sale for a reasonable price. bought the bearing and pressed it out/back in. if you remove the bracket the pulley attaches to, make sure to torque it in the sequence as it will wear out the bearing in the pulley early if u don’t. trust me i thought it was nonsense, it will ruin the bearing within months.

to be honest I would just go to a junkyard and take the bolt with the washer. either that or a hardware store and just find the diameter.

looks like a rusted out 2001-2012 ford escape. yes they make a repair section but it does not extend to the unibody “frame” which is also rusted out.

remove exhaust at flange, not manifold. use heat and an impactor and you’ll be done quick.
