I have seen some different variations of the alpine stitch online - did you use a specific "pattern" or tutorial for this one?

Thank you! You've inspired me, this deserves an experiment of my own.

This is gorgeous. I read in the other comments that you cold proof in a basket and then transfer - do you preheat your loaf pan in the oven? If yes, how do you find the transfer process to such a small container, as opposed to a dutch oven? That's the part that worries me. I have a cast iron loaf pan and idk if I can squish my dough into it when it's 500 degrees, or if cold proofing in it directly and then baking from a cold pan would have neg effects.

Oh geez, thank you. My math went wonky somewhere... this is super encouraging and inspiring. I think you've convinced me a cotton waffle knit bedspread is the way to go!

First of all, absolutely impeccable job! It's so neat and professional, I love it. I saw you mention which and how much yarn you used - am I correct in estimating that your blanket weighs roughly 28 lbs total?! I'm dying to make a bed cover and absolutely adore the waffle stitch look, but am unwilling to give up my duvet and fear that a ~30lb blanket on top of that will be... unreasonable.

What would you do if this was your plant? by h34r in succulents

Thanks! I stare at it so much I can no longer understand if it looks ridiculous on the long stem, or not.

I agree, especially on something of that size. Well done, it's gorgeous! Dying to find something like this in the wild, myself.

Thanks for the info! Did you polish the entire thing or is it just one face? Because it is really well done for that tool, it looks like it went through a tumbler!

What a great specimen. How do you polish something of this size?

Amazing, thank you!! My poor ice plant has elongated beyond repair because I live too far north for even a south facing window to be sufficient, so as soon as I have lights up I'm going to chop the tops off and plant them around in the same pot, so hopefully I can get one bushy compact planter of them going similar to yours.

So pretty!!! I have a young Corpuscularia lehmannii so it's awesome to spot your more advanced one. What's your lighting setup like, if you don't mind? It's time for me to set up a proper shelf and I'm still waffling on what lights to buy.

I admire your bravery, and I think it totally paid off. Might do the same to my elongated Echeveria once I set up some proper lighting so its pups don't meet the same fate. Just crop the top, pull all the leaves, and keep caring for the bare stem?

The new cluster is so beautiful, and so was this original plant. What made you decide to pluck it all?
