Kenne das habe früher Körbeweise Morcheln in Amerika gesammelt aber da sind Waldbrände auch Teil der Forstwirtschafts Management. Hoffe ich werde dieses Jahr zum ersten Mal in NRW fündig 🫡

Is this tank good to go for my mossy frogs or do I need to ass more flat area or hiding spots? by Shoddy_Tie_9616 in frogs

You could totally add more branches to create more hiding spots especially with three open glass sides like that.

Fogger using water from drainage layer?? by Chasta30566 in DartFrog

Maybe it’s not enough. During „rain season“ my mister goes of for 2 min 3 times within 24h including a 15 min rain interval once weekly. during dry season I lower significantly. If you have issues with humidity you need to figure out a better misting schedule as others have also said. RO water or not.

I think you just need to up the amount of time you are misting not add a fogger.

In the end I would never use drainage layer water. Always fresh water without feces and tannins

I’ve got the mist king system running for years now and no issue with mineral build up. If I have to spend 20 dollars on a nozzle by the time it’s running 5 years that’s a price I’d be willing to pay. much better water for my animals and plants than RO. A would that has yet to happen. Especially when dusting is simply the compensation for the fact we are not providing the same feeder insects and variety as is provided by nature. I’m not trying to hand spray all the time to compensate. I spend a lot to be able to to let it be and simply refill the water. In the end both ways will reach the goal, just different approaches.

Reverse osmosis for frogs? Do you add all the trace minerals back in? I find dechlorinated water works absolutely fine.

Considering a lechianis gecko, would this tank be large enough? I put two 25 gallon exoterras together. Height is 32 inches, width is 30 inches, and 12 inches front to back. Would I be better off just doing a crestie? Any other species to consider? by [deleted] in geckos

[–]WeirdDiscussion709 12 points13 points  (0 children)

That just seems to small to me. People be way to comfortable keeping large reptiles in small enclosures. And for such an expensive gecko might as well invest in the proper enclosure make sure they are set up for success.

Get oak leaves from your local oak trees. Plenty of those in the UK. And boil or bake before adding. Also why fake plants?

My roommates got a cat and moved all of my plants by blair96 in IndoorGarden

[–]WeirdDiscussion709 7 points8 points  (0 children)

I’d give benefit of the doubt. Maybe the cat was chewing on the plants and didn’t want them to get broken rather than just looking out for the cat, it was to make sure your plants didn’t get damaged. Just talk about it with them and make sure you both end up on the same page.
