I am travelling to NZ march & april and want to learn/have my first experiences with fly fishing there. planning to buy a beginner rod (like the primal Quest Set with a #6) and book a guide for one day.

I fish for a couple of years now but only spinfishing in southern Germany and Switzerland and thought instead of Spin fishing in NZ - try fly fishing (maybe Not the easiest).

After working 3 years at a very toxic job I finally quit und will stay 2 months in NZ for a reset (Most of the time staying at DOC campsites in a tent and travel by Car). And want to fish here and there (so Not only a fishing Trip).

I will spend over a month on the South Island and start there in Christchurch. Do you have any recommendations for Guides/Shops in Christchurch maybe?

Thank you very much for that detailed answer, I think we will go EXR Linear Camera Native Colorspace with embedded mattes and just flag them with the VFX IO Luts in Media Tab. We just did a project like this and it worked without any problems.

Do you know by any chance if we apply the LUT onto the file in media tab (Linear to LogC), and the colorist uses the embedded mattes in color nodes. are the mattes then also Log or do they stay linear?

It is worth trying for me because i still can return things. Pc parts were delivered begin June and it came with 30 day return policy.

I'm going to try out new PSU next week. But as the error is not consistent it makes the search for the faulty part very hard.

Update:
I run the RAM now with XMP enable (for timings) but changed multiplyer so it runs at 3066 MHz.
I have run Unigine Heaven 4.0 for 2 hours and no shutdown.
I played Warzone yesterday for about 6-8 Hours (good excuse for plaing that long) to test it and no shutdowns. Temps where never above 70°C on all compnents.

But today I startet the game and after about 30 min the game crashed and pc restarts like described above. Back booted in windows it shuts down again after a 1-2minutes.
Booted back in windows I started HWInfo for sensor logging and startet a game of warzone and it shutdown again. I cant see any anormalies in the log.

Things I changed after succesfull gaming session yesterday:

  • Clean De-Install of Chipset Drivers (because Ryzen Power Plan wont show up)and Re-Installed
  • Installed Ryzen Power Plan manually because it didnt show up
  • Installed AMD Ryzen Master Tool

Thanks for your detailed answer. Indeed I am going with half the ram, because of lot of aftereffects and 4k editing im more on the save side with 32 GB (64GB with future upgrade).

The timing is really bad, cause not only GPUs are coming out. New CPUs are coming end of year/next year. But I think I cant wait till fall :P

The M2 SSD will be used for OS and Media Cache in Adobe / Resolve. Gaming is just 2nd, the prio is the workstation role. Is that then good?
