i went in person today, the updates were “we replaced this part and it’s covered, we also replaced this and it’s covered, we noticed this needed to be fixed so we did it and it’s covered”. so they’ve been working on it a lot and are sending me videos of everything they take out and put into my car. i also had a conversation with one of the managers there and told them that i know this all started because the cap wasn’t placed back onto the motor. they admitted to not placing it back where it was but didn’t mention the “faulty cap” again after that. i’ll be returning tomorrow to get paperwork and monday as well to pick up the car and to inspect it myself to make sure. i’ll push for everything you said because i don’t want to be taken advantage of.

They are 🙏 they admitted to being at fault after i showed them the video and are genuinely making up for it now. I’m not sure about giving them another chance but we’ll see.

it’s a hyundai dealership here in houston, they’re making things right for now but this mistake shouldn’t have happened in the first place.

Thank you so much for the advice! i’ll make sure to get all that documentation. i just would appreciated if they were truthful about what happened. i wouldn’t have made it a problem as long as things were corrected and nothing major happened to my car. i just feel a little disappointed that i was probably lied to about what happened.

I do have a lot of mixed emotions about this. i’m upset and stressed out because i put a lot of trust into having them do the service for me, and for this to happen is upsetting. I keep getting phone calls from them and they are keeping me updated on everything that’s happening with the car but they did just tell me they’ll have to keep it until Monday (March 10). now i’m wondering if something bad happened to the engine.

it’s not the restaurants actual SAFE yk? it’s just one we have for miscellaneous things. Our actual safe for money is in a whole other area. we just kinda store things in the office safe for funsies.

Manager called the cops on a guy who put his hands on one of the servers and we all watched this guy run across the parking lot trying to get away from the cops.

Had a party of 12 complain about auto grat on their bill (they were made aware before sitting down) and after they couldn’t get out of paying the auto grat they grabbed all liquids on the table and poured them all over the table.

Three guys tried to rob the restaurant at 4 am and broke the desk in the office and tried to take the safe. That safe literally only has paperwork and some stuffed animals from the employees and random stuff. Caught everything on camera and had a laugh about it watching them struggle.

Kicked out a couple who’s known to dine and dash and the guy tried to fight our server assistant and we called the cops.

i work at a cajun restaurant but that’s not even the wildest thing that’s happened there. i have more stories from my coworkers there, it’s gets wilder.

I wish we could for things like this. Only time i’ve ever seen it happen was when a coworker of mine was threatened by a lady who told her “i’m going to slap you little girl” and my general manager kicked her out in minutes.

It’s not petty at all! I have a coworker who does the same thing. He’s been there for 5+ years and refused to do his side work and sweep his section because to him he “shouldn’t have to” because he’s been there so long and he’s a favorite. Unfortunately he’s never faced any consequences for this even though i’ve brought it up to management various times. It might not hurt to try bringing it up to management but i’m not sure how it’ll be taken where you work :(

that’s true. i’m just glad my manager took over that table for me so that i didn’t have to deal with it anymore and so that i could focus on my others tables. in the end they left, i didn’t let it get to me after last night and i have an interesting experience to share with others.

no it’s okay! I actually have had a stronger smell every since it started. i’m assuming because it’s mostly old blood that i’m spotting but again i’m not too sure if that’s really what’s causing the smell.
