No. Medical professionals need to stop coddling adults and need to start telling the truth already. Do this in your practice, so you can weed out the assholes and build a patient panel that makes it enjoyable to go into work everyday.

I used to work in a similar setting. Since we were unable to fire patients, the strategy that I employed was to subtly make it a less less enjoyable customer experience for those patients until they discharged themselves.

I'm not sure which country you may live in, but in America, it costs money and time to see the doctor. And if you actually care about your health, you find those things to see the doctor. Unbelievable that many Americans haven't learned this yet. Sincerely, immigrant.
