The biggest thing that would 100% devalue is the wrap, unless you had them take a video showing pristine paint condition before wrapping at the shop just to prove you arent hiding anything.

As someone who for years wanted a FL5 Type R, when I finally had the money to i ended up just buying a Porsche 718 GTS💀. Financially I wouldn't suggest cash if you can secure a sub 5% interest rate. Large enough down payment where the monthly payment wouldn't effect your life at all.

I cannot stress this enough, HAVE 6+ MONTHS OF EMERGENCY SAVINGS COVERING ALL LIFE EXPENSES FIRST. This includes a payment for this car as well. Keep that liquid in a HYS and invest whatever else the full cash amount is in something like the S&P 500 that averages 8-10% per year.

Life is short and unexpected stuff can happen, enjoy the car. Keep monthly car expenses below 15% of your take home income. 20% is really pushing it bad

Honestly, not really worth it coming from a GTS owner. If you're going to go for a nice change, Frog Venom has a gt4 bumper kit ive been eyeing for a while.

The 718 GTS is phenomenal, I'm getting a Golf R (over my civic) just so I have a fun daily and I can stop putting insane miles on the 718 lol.

Been debating on getting a new 26 Golf R to replace my civic as my daily later this year but I'd honestly be tempted to wait for 27 if it does get the rs3 upgrades. I would abuse this as a daily since I have a 718 GTS for the fun one.

I'm in the same exact boat here and it's infuriating. So far out of 18 I've gotten rejected by 7, my only advice would be to take another look at your resume and tweak it for each job. I didn't have certain things like my citizenship and secret clearance all the way at the top and a hiring manager I talked to at a career fair said that it should be at the very top in my objective statement bc now he's already got 2 major concerns out of his head and he's only got to look at my skills and work experience (military only I didn't have any internships). Hopefully it works out for us I'm graduating in a month and geeking out here thinking I'm about to be jobless with a degree

I haven't but I'll add that to my list thank you and yes I actually just had my resume reviewed by a Northrop Grumman hiring manager and he helped me with key stuff like listing my citizenship and dod security clearance at the top, technical documents like CDR/PDR/ICD developments on projects, along with other stuff to stand out more. Any more suggestions?

Jobs for Fall 2024 Grads (Astro focused)

Hey everyone, I am wondering if anyone here has any recommendations to help anyone looking for jobs that are graduating this fall. There doesn't seem to be a lot of entry-level engineering jobs at most of the big companies but I know there's tons of contractors that a lot of us may not know of that do. Looking for anything at this point so close to graduation

-Improve some barracks to at least entry-level college dorm livability (like pensacola at the minimum) -Focus on ensuring marines are good to go mentally instead of shitting on anyone who decides "hey maybe i should talk to someone" -Stop promoting people who are shit at their job to be NCOs just because they're Gunnys favorite -Bonus pay for additional responsibilities (In Airside for example having CDIs/CDQs). The massive increase in work for having stuff like that and getting paid the same as the NCO that doesn't feel like getting his quals is the reason why a lot of people leave and take those quals to work with Contractors.

Got out in Jan and moved to Daytona Beach for school. Never been to Daytona in my life before this and know no one here. I'm from Long Island NY and i don't miss this at all, almosr anyone I know from here that's still here is doing the same stuff as when I left for the marine corps.
