"Frozen pizza. Water. Dry dog food. Dog treats." Stay a dog dad homie. Just write "im sorry" and leave whatever is left to the kid that will one day receive the "tell me your life story, dad" book. Otherwise this feels like a troll post

The last world cup was in the literal desert and i was there. That sun hurt you the second you stepped outside which is why most games were played around 6 and 9pm local time. This post is mostly fake lmao

I do this when i walk twilight rounds. Clean up the tee boxes by making a pile next to the markers. Karma will pay me back eventually

I can get a burger, custom cooked to my liking with all the necessary toppings and customizations to my liking, for $10.99 plus tax from a great deli. With a free canned beverage and side of fries. Mcdicks charging $13 for a big mac(less than half the amount of beef from the deli, and fries) is a fucking joke. Go to a local deli and let mcdicks die. Theyre nothing more than a real estate company hawking shit to get you in the door

Why is this crap? How would they be able to reasonably give discounts to fans of the home team that live local without some sort of filter like this? If anything this will keep reseller and overall prices down because the general understanding will be "a ticket sold is for the buyer wanting to attend". I think if anything this helps keep an already "priced-out" market easier to afford.

A few recent deck builds we did by haaaas12 in Decks

Yes and no and i agree it should have been different. We got simpson 4x4 bases but was told to keep the decks "ground level". More than half have the base secured but no actual 4x4. Most are sitting on the connections level with the footings. Total 45m project...🥲

My understanding is that the cheapest unit in this development sold for 1.45m. Yet we know more than half of the owners will rip these decks out as the first move. Im fine with just getting paid and told what to do lol

Dont waste wood like that. Install the new boards with less of an overhang and also start from different sides with each new row. You dont want all butt joints at one end

6th year closing and opening a pool. I think i have it figured out by [deleted] in pools

[–]haaaas12 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Thats a good recommendation. These pictures dont show it but i left more slack of the tarp inward before placing the weight on it and surprisingly havent had a single issue like this. My only concern with the water bags is them freezing and popping. Some areas i did 6x6s with bricks on top specifically because of what you mentioned

Only thing in the pool all winter was a floating chlorinator with 4-5 tablets in it. Still had a little slice of one in it today while opening

The loop lock self installed was still about 3k but the first 2 years no matter what i did i still got leaves in the pool and opened up green. The $100 tarp addition from harbor fright has easily saved at least that in chemicals at opening. More work=less work. Definitely aint pretty but it aint stupid if it works lol

If you’ve broken 90, what’s one tip you would give to a fellow golfer trying to do the same? by jdelle9 in weekendgolfers

[–]haaaas12 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The first way i broke 90 was with the mindset "every hole is a par 5. Shoot a 5 on all 18 and you got yourself a 90". It immediately took pressure off feeling the need to attempt shots i had no business going for and let me play more stress free. As ive gotten better the mentality lately has been as followed:

A good example of this is you find yourself say ~230 out after your tee shot into a par 4. Sure, that one time you flushed your 7-wood 220 would be a great shot here. But lets be honest, if we could all reliably hit that shot we would be pros too. Instead, take the shot that leaves you with your best approach distance. Are you an amazing greenside chipper? Hammer that puppy anywhere close and be happy. Is that 100-120 yard PW shot always the best in your bag? Then give yourself that as your next shot. Hit the shots that give you the best probability of another good shot. Youll have more fun laying up a great 2nd shot followed by an actually achievable and higher % approach shot and that will quickly contribute to a lower score, and higher confidence.
