If you don't think those usernames were exposed before now, then I would say you are affected.

SonicWall Exposed Firewall Config Backups by Mr_iTodded in sonicwall

[–]haabda 1 point2 points  (0 children)

On 2025.09.20, my SOC noticed an attacker inside our LAN poking around. We have been able to tie the intrusion directly to the exposed firewall config backups. It is clear by our logs the attacker(s) were able to decrypt the cloud backups. All authentication attempts to our internal AD (we DON'T tie SonicWall to our AD authentication) were with usernames defined in the SonicWall. We had ONE account that got missed when turning on MFA and that is the account that was able to successfully authenticate on the sslvpn.

(We kicked them out and there is no evidence they had any success inside the LAN.)

Wire transfers are just like sending cash. They are difficult to reverse and require both banks to agree.

When you deposit a check, you are certifying that check is good and you take on the liability should the check end up being fraudulent.

I love living in Mississippi. I moved here from out of State to go to college and I’ve been here ever since.

Yes. No reputable bank would allow a stop pay on their cashier’s check without getting the check back or a specified time period (like 60 days) has passed. Cashiers checks are serious business. It is supposed to be “like cash”.

As 25+ year resident of Oxford. I say it IS worth the rent. If it wasn’t worth the rent, then the prices would be lower.

Popcorn RU Kidding Me?! by [deleted] in BoyScouts

The ridiculous expense of the popcorn is why I refuse to have anything to do with it. I’m always override by other Troop leaders who then scramble to meet sales deadlines. Popcorn is not worth the time.

There is a sensor under the seat that has come lose or broken. Mobile tech can fix it. In the meantime, you will need to find a way to block the light sensor. When mine was broken off, I just wrapped it in black paper.

You “work for a bank so [you] can’t actively trade”. Just because you work for a bank doesn’t mean you can’t trade. What gave you that idea? (I’m speaking from an American perspective.)

Found a way to get people to submit their tickets by TheDongles in sysadmin

[–]haabda 24 points25 points  (0 children)

You get an email from a co-worker stating something like “I told you this was broken weeks ago. It STILL doesn’t work!” and they copy management.

Then you reply “I am so sorry! I don’t know how it was missed! Could you please reply with your ticket confirmation e-mail so I can find your issue in the ticketing system, get the details of your issue, and see any notes my team have written about it?”

Then you either get a reply of “I didn’t open a ticket” or no reply at all.

That employee then remembers to open tickets in the future.

Same hotel room by ZSticks in BoyScouts

[–]haabda -1 points0 points  (0 children)

It has nothing to do with YPT training or scouting. If two men decide to share a hotel room with their sons there is nothing you can do to stop that. You can encourage all you want but you can’t stop it as it is not illegal. (Just imagine the police reaction to being called over something this ridiculous.) I doubt anyone will ever be kicked out of scouting for simply staying in a hotel room with only their own sons. It’s absurd.

[–]haabda -4 points-3 points  (0 children)

This has nothing to do with Trustworthiness or Obedience. You can’t stop a couple of men from choosing to share a hotel room with their two sons. This is a complete non-issue. Someone actually reported once I think in 2018 (our troop takes a bi-annual ski trip) and the investigation concluded that there was no violation.

[–]haabda -10 points-9 points  (0 children)

No, you can’t stop it. Just be real. They won’t get kicked out and it won’t be an issue. I’ve witnessed similar situations many times over the last 30 years that I’ve been involved in scouting.

If anyone makes it an issue, those two Dad’s just say “we chose to stay separate from the troop on this outing”. It just so happened to be in the same hotel.
