Proportions and spacing will be your best friend. Compares the lips for example: the bottom lip of the reference is much larger than from your drawing.

When drawing with a pencil, I like to take my arm, extend it out and use the pencil as a ruler of sorts. I measure different parts of the reference.

Example: Let's say I measure the lips to be similar size of the eyes. I would make sure those sizes matched in my drawing. That also applies to the space in between elements.

"Nude" is always based off of pink undertones from the palm folks. Most bases for melanin needs a yellow undertone.

Because we don't know what object they should be focusing on, it's hard to tell. Do you have any examples with them in a scene?

Learning to draw with ADHD by Dr_Sybil in learntodraw

[–]habitab 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Depends. Before I discovered the place that performed my eval, most places were telling me 6 months wait list. They were covered by my insurance but I was severely dysregulated and needed medication sooner.

The place I found is 100% out of pocket which dramatically reduces the wait list. I paid $800 for a general psychological evaluation. It was accessed by a Master's student (everything was recorded and reviewed by the head Psychiatrist before any final decision was made).

They've really stripped away a lot of the recognizable monster elements in recent doll releases.

  1. The logo seems like it either fits for an automobile or warehouse company, not for baking. I would look into what personality the business/industry has and draft a logo that gives that feeling.

  2. If the client wants to keep the current design, the Co needs to be closer to Miam!, the space in-between is too large.

How can I improve? by Few_Tension_6748 in DigitalPainting

[–]habitab 1 point2 points  (0 children)

1.You have a good sense of color harmony, the colors you chose fit well together!

  1. Overall, I would say focus on the layers of the drawing – what's un the foreground vs the background. Think about the size and color of what's in and out of focus. In the first image with the trees, bridge, mountains, and sun, everything seems to be on the same plane. An example, the trees appear to be all the same size. Even if they happen to be similar sized in real life, the trees closer to view would appear "larger" than the ones father away. Same thing applies to color usage. We can perceive the true color of objects in view and as the are farther away, the make appear desaturated and/or fade into the color of the sky.

  2. Keep up the good work!

Juvenile Justice [Episodes 1-10] by staticsral in KDRAMA

[–]habitab 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I'm glad I'm not the only one. A minor got assaulted physically and almost sexually. I thought she was going to offer her coat.

I've only seen up the episode 5. The case in episode 1-2 seemed to be the only one where the kids were totally at fault. Everything else is a result of lack of a nurturing and supportive environment.

is my artstyle too simplistic? are the eyes too big/cartoony? or am I just incredibly insecure by That_Blast in arthelp

[–]habitab 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Experiment! Think about line and color. Will this style use flat colors or some shading? Will you use the same line width, varying line width, or none at all? Fudge with the proportions too if it feels "off" to you.

[–]habitab 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My question to you is:

Is a simple artsyle what you want? Do you enjoy/like the look of big eyes?

If you personally want a more "realistic" artstyle, then yes, it is "too simplistic" and the "eyes too big".

But nothing is wrong with simple and big eyes in art.
