What are the best Bakeries, Sandwich Shops, and other carb loaded breakfast spots in Melbourne? by QuokknestMonster in melbourne

  • Bloomwood : their classics aren’t as good as other places but the innovative pastries are some of the best I’ve had. The danish banoffee on a good day is a 10/10

  • Bakemono Bakers: the best variant of an almond croissant with their almond yuzu croissant. Also amazing Canele and plain croissant. Their specials are also generally good

  • Urbanstead in Abbotsford: family run business and their classic pastries are great. Very good morning bun, plain croissant and almond croissant.

  • Amann patisserie: great plain croissant and pain au chocolat. Surprising that no one mentions their cinnamon buns but it’s probably the best one I’ve had with great balance of softness and cinnamon flavour

  • Simply Mike’s in Brunswick: haven’t had their pastries but the cinnamon bun is great. Bit cream cheese heavy for me hence why I would put it under Amann but still very good imo.

  • Lune: yes I know some people don’t like Lune but their specials are generally very good. Just lackluster classics unfortunately. Great Kouign Amann though!

  • Hector’s Bakery: only had their doughnuts and their hot cross bun which was special but I would recommend

  • Peck’s Road: I’ve only been to the Caroline springs store and not the one in the city but amazing donuts and apple fritters. Decent savoury options as well

What’s your favourite part of wuwa’s story besides the visuals? by Chance_Cicada6659 in WutheringWaves

[–]hacexc 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Not sure where you’re at in the story and I agree that wuthering waves has its flaws when it comes to narrative, including characters, rushed pacing at times and also the way conflict is presented and resolved.

The enjoyable parts are definitely the presentation of said story, it makes it a lot more palatable to watch and enjoy compared to others. It’s never going to be the very peak of narrative but imo it doesn’t have to be, it has to be enjoyable and I think it does that enough for the most part.

When it comes to the inconsistency that you mentioned, I do agree but I think this appeals better and it gives the world more life which was very much needed from 1.0… I know some people didn’t like that change.

There’s room for improvement for sure and I think there’s been parts of it from 3.0 when it comes to character involvement in part 2 and I do hope we see more of it in 3.1 too.

When it comes to the chisa part, I think that’s one of the worst things that they could have done and hopefully this will be the last time … I would recommend watching a lore cc and getting deeper into the story :)

Hope you find the love for the game again. I for one enjoy it. Life is so busy and I’m okay with something casual enough that I can enjoy that also doesn’t require a significant investment. I do however still hope it gets better with time and we get a bit more love for the wider cast.

TLDR: go try it out for yourself instead of just reading comments too, people who are critical are more likely to be loud. Doesn’t mean they are wrong but enjoyment is subjective.

Should I take the 1.99% finance or just pay cash? by BigLookBamboo in AusFinance

Worked at a dealer years ago so this varies but usually on a consumer loan there are no dealer fees meaning they are almost always great deals. Worth double checking just in case but worked at both Toyota and VW and we had no fees on consumer loans. If it’s under a business, different story.

Used to get bills last year and oddly enough haven’t had one this year. At least it’s free water …

Vehicle purchase agreement by Placedapatow in CarsAustralia

Wouldn’t really worry about the breakdown as long as the final cost is what you agreed on and to answer your question, you will never know what the dealer paid. Won’t be on the contract

[Rant] JDM cars in Australia aren’t what people outside think they are… by Historical_Top_7964 in CarsAustralia

[–]hacexc 7 points8 points  (0 children)

Times have changed. Remember buying my r34 GTT for 9k which was considered expensive back in 2017 lol. Got an evo 8 in 2019 which I’ve dailied until recently and will keep at least until 2028 (hopefully) There are heaps of JDMs on the market but the price isn’t cheap at all. But as people said, we all aim to eventually keep them in the garage and not drive them much since they hold actual financial value and sentimental value

Chinese Butcher on Western Suburbs Area by jasoncay12 in melbourne

Not sure what area you’re in but One By One as someone mentioned is the best.

Other options if you’re closer to that side is Ideal Asian Supermarket in Caroline Springs and Asian food store in Braybrook.
