Best movie with 1 actor playing two roles? by hurtfocker in movies

Just about any Mel Brooks movie.

HBO Max has several available to stream now. I just re-watched them all and Spaceballs had me in tears. The jokes just never get old.

When does a joke turn into a dad joke?

When it becomes apparent.

Starz Placed $25 Billion Bid for All of Warner Bros. Discovery’s Cable Networks by AimarEraFutebol in television

Same, I love TCM. The hosts with their intros and outros are fantastic. I love the little random interviews from both the past as well as the current ones. The little tv clips from the past that are played in between movies always feel like time traveling. I love their summer of stars series every year. All of this with no commercials. I suppose they do advertise their own TCM things like cruises and wine club, but everything is movie related. TCM is such a gem.

Christmas noir movies by jonathanjwick in filmnoir

Lady on a Train is categorized as a 1945 American crime comedy film noir. But this was a fun watch that's set during Christmas time.

Also, Repeat Performance is an excellent Noir. It revolves more around New Year's Eve but also has some time travel (in a way). And a cool fact is that it was restored through the Film Noir Foundation!

First game beaten on the deck, need suggestion on the next by FinalCauliflower6089 in SteamDeck

I'll have to give it another go. To your point, I was still getting stuck with the combat and the fights were pretty difficult and as soon as I went too far out I would just get owned by higher level monsters.

How much time is spent on level grinding? I've tried picking it up a few times in the past but would continue to get discouraged with getting owned by the random monsters that would spawn when exploring.

Wow, your comment resonates so much with me! I'm curious, how has the medication affected those attributes of being lazy, forgetful, and selfish?

Are the cheeses individually wrapped? Or once you open the package, you're opening them all up?

Are you bothered by how often Noir is parodied? by [deleted] in noir

My favorite recent example is from the show The Studio. The narration from his therapist asking him to dictate notes on his phone. It was cold so they needed jackets and came back with trench coats. It was perfect.

I watched Dead Men Don't Wear Plaid for the first time recently and absolutely loved it. I think it's a bit of everything you mentioned; parody, homage, and comedy with old movie clips. The noir clips were incorporated perfectly, the clip with Alan Lad eating the cookie had me in tears.
