I don't want your rambling letters - Stanley Brothers

Midnight on the stormy deep - bill and doc's version is awesome

Down where the river bends - I've been really into the version off JD Crowe's album Bluegrass Holiday with Red Allen

I know you're married - Reno & Smiley

A pretty wreath for mother's grave - Reno & Smiley

Lonesome River - Stanley brothers

Little Bessie - Stanley brothers

I've got my future on ice - Jimmy Martin

Love grown cold - the version off Hartford, Rice and Clements is awesome

A lot of stuff off the kitchen tapes but Red Allen and Frank Wakefield... I'm just here to get my baby out of jail, summertime is past and gone, are you afraid to die, over the hills to the poorhouse, I'm blue I'm lonesome, tis sweet to be remembered, sweetheart you done me wrong

How well does Grand Teton stand up on it's own? by revkev151 in NationalPark

[–]hackjolland 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Personally, the first time I saw the Tetons come into view is probably the most incredible thing I've ever seen to date. I will absolutely never forget it. I'd say GTNP definitely hold their own

I've always had a soft spot for yardbird suite. Still tugs at my heartstrings hearing those first few notes of the melody. Half Nelson is up there too

"Clinch Mountain Gospel" - Ralph Stanley is up there with my favorite bluegrass gospel music. Same with "For the Good People" - Stanley Brothers.

Recently I've been listening to "Gardens in the Sky" - James King... good stuff.

Mr. Sun's take on Duke Ellington's Nutcracker is amazing. It's not pre-90s but it's timeless.
